The Ring video doorbell requires a minimum upload speed of 800kbps to work, however we recommend a minimum of 1mbps for optimal performance.
Because of these requirements before buying the Ring video doorbell we recommend testing your internet connection upload speed using a service such speedtest.net. It is important that you look at the upload speed and not the download speed as this is what will effect the performance of the Ring video doorbell.
If you have any questions or concerns over whether the Ring will work for you please do not hesitate to give our team a call on 1300 736 970.
The Ring Doorbell easily installs in minutes, with no professional help and all of the tools you need are included in the pack. A built-in rechargeable battery means you have no restrictions on where you install the doorbell or you can connect it to existing doorbell wiring to provide both power and to use your existing chime alongside the app notifications. Use motion-triggered alerts sent via the free Ring app (iOS and Android) to notify you of arriving guests and deliveries or to let you know there is someone at your door.
Cloud Recording ensures you’ll never miss any activity at your home. With Ring, you’re always home.
Ring Doorbell's operate without a subscription, providing the same real-time notifications and live streaming video of events without saving a video of the event. However if you would like to automatically save recordings of both doorbell triggers and motion triggers Rings cloud video recording plans are optional and cost just USD$3/month or USD$30 annually and allow you to store 6 months of video recordings. So even if you can't get to your phone you'll know who's been calling.
Receive instant alerts when someone rings your doorbell or motion is detected, via the free Ring™ app (iOS® and Android™). See and speak with visitors from anywhere using your smartphone, and watch recorded footage anytime with Cloud Recording.
Not everyone rings the doorbell, so we’ve included motion sensors to alert you of activity at your home. Any movement triggers an alert via the Ring™ app and activates the night vision HD camera.
Connect the Ring Doorbell to your Wi-Fi network using the Ring™ app, then mount the unit using the tools included in the package. It only takes minutes; no professional help or special tools required.
The Ring Doorbell attaches to its mounting plate using a proprietary screw for security. If your doorbell gets stolen, don’t worry - we’ll replace it. For free.
