Privacy Policy

Introduction

InFront Technologies, New Line Group Pty Ltd (“InFront Technologies”, “we”, “us”) complies with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). A free copy of this policy is available on request.

This document explains how we collect, use, disclose and safeguard your personal information, how you may access or correct it, and how to lodge a privacy complaint.

Interacting Anonymously

You may remain anonymous or use a pseudonym unless we must identify you (for example, to process or deliver an order, approve credit, handle a warranty or comply with law). If you decline to provide required details, we may be unable to supply goods, approve credit or answer your enquiry.

Why We Collect, Hold, Use & Disclose Information

  • Supply and delivery of CCTV systems, NVRs and related products;
  • Customer support, warranty handling and incident investigation;
  • Marketing (with simple opt-out) and product improvement;
  • Loyalty programmes, competitions and promotions;
  • Account administration, payment processing and fraud checks;
  • Supplier relations, product recalls and business transfers;
  • Legal and regulatory compliance, including crime prevention.

We validate address and payment details to keep information accurate and conduct annual security reviews and penetration tests.

What We Collect

  • Contact details: name, address, email, phone, date of birth;
  • Transaction and payment details (only tokenised card data is stored if you opt to “save card”);
  • Identification details for verification or commercial-credit assessment;
  • Income information for commercial credit checks (we do not obtain consumer credit reports);
  • Website data: IP address, device/browser info, on-site activity, social-media handles;
  • Product preferences and feedback;
  • Sensitive information: CCTV footage used for safety, loss-prevention and incident investigation.

How We Collect & Store Information

We collect information when you place an order, create an account, join promotions, request support, browse our site, post reviews or visit our premises (CCTV). Data is stored on secure Australian servers with encrypted backups; physical records are kept in locked facilities. At each collection point we display a short notice that links to or summarises this policy.

Direct Marketing

We may send email, SMS or postal offers. You can opt out at any time by clicking “Unsubscribe” in an email or replying “STOP” to an SMS, or by contacting us:

Sharing Your Information

  • Service partners (payment gateways, logistics, IT hosting, marketing, insurers, professional advisers);
  • Manufacturers and authorised repairers (repairs, recalls, warranties);
  • Police or other authorised agencies where required by law;
  • Prospective purchasers of our business (under confidentiality);
  • Others with your explicit consent.

Returning devices capable of storing footage (e.g. NVRs) implies consent for any residual data to be accessed by the repairer.

Overseas Disclosures

We store and back-up customer information solely in Australia. Limited data may transit overseas:

  • Payment providers (PayPal, Braintree) and buy-now-pay-later partners (Zip Money, Afterpay) process transactions on their global infrastructure.
  • Network and analytics services (Cloudflare, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel) process IP-address data for performance and reporting. These providers do not retain full personal profiles.

Job Applications

Information from applicants is used only for recruitment. We may verify details with third-party checks and the referees you nominate.

Security & Retention

We apply encryption, multi-factor access and strict permission controls. Customer invoices and most business records are kept seven years (then securely destroyed or de-identified); CCTV footage auto-deletes after 30 days unless required longer; paper files are cross-shredded upon disposal.

Most other records (emails, chat logs, job applications) are purged or de-identified after seven years unless the law requires longer.

Access, Correction & Erasure

Requests to access or correct personal information are free; we may recover reasonable copying or retrieval costs if you proceed. To request deletion, email [email protected] with proof of identity.

Privacy Complaints

Contact our Privacy Officer (details above) if you believe we have breached the APPs. We aim to resolve complaints within 30 days. If unsatisfied, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
