Find the power supply that fits your Swann
Match the volts, amps and plug on your old adapter's label. Swann NVRs run on 48V and DVRs and coax cameras on 12V, so the two are never interchangeable.

Swann power supply questions
Can I use a generic power supply on my Swann NVR?
Only if the voltage, current and plug all match the original. Swann NVRs run on 48V and also power every camera over PoE, so an under-rated adapter causes reboots and cameras dropping out. The supplies on this page are matched to the original rating.
My recorder keeps restarting or cameras drop out. Is it the power supply?
Often, yes. Ageing or under-rated adapters sag under load, especially at night when the cameras switch on infrared. Check the label rating against the chart above.
Does a 16-channel recorder need a bigger supply?
Yes. The 16-channel NVR16-8580 needs the 48V 3.75A supply, and 16-channel Swann DVRs need 12V 5A. The smaller 8-channel adapters will not run them reliably.
How many cameras can one 12V 2A supply run?
Usually up to four analogue cameras through a splitter, as most draw 200 to 500mA. Cameras with strong infrared or long cable runs are best on their own adapter.
I can't find my model. Can you help?
Yes. Email a photo of the label under your recorder and the label on your old adapter to [email protected] and we will confirm the right part before you order.
