Spotlight, strobe and siren.
This is the VSIPP-8DD-ID3. Two 4MP sensors behind two 2.8 mm lenses in one turret make a single 8MP picture 180° wide. When a person or vehicle crosses your line, it turns on its warm white spotlights, flashes red and blue, and sounds a siren.
In one sentence: the VSIPP-8DD-ID3 is a VIP Vision Professional AI 8MP (4096 × 1860) dual-lens turret with a 180° view, people and vehicle detection, warm white spotlights, a red and blue strobe and siren, 25 m infrared, IP67 and PoE.
Camera only. Recording and power are separate.
Video, power and audio run over one network cable from a PoE recorder or switch.

One turret for the whole frontage.
Two lenses side by side cover 180° across and 86° high, in one 8MP stream. Mounted on a back wall or above a garage, one camera covers what would usually take two.
Deterrence
Spotlight, red and blue strobe, siren.
Two warm white spotlights reach 20 m. When a person or vehicle trips a rule, the camera switches from infrared to colour, lights the scene, flashes the red and blue strobe and plays a siren tone or message you set.

Two 1/2.7" 4MP sensors behind 2.8 mm F1.4 lenses make one 4096 × 1860 image at up to 20 fps. VIP Vision rates it to identify a person at 5 m, recognise at 10 m, observe at 20 m and detect at 50 m.
Design
A metal turret you can aim.
The head pans 360°, tilts 0–78° and rotates 360°, so it levels from an eave, a wall or a ceiling. Metal housing, IP67, −40 °C to +60 °C. Ø122 × 135 mm, 0.99 kg.

Ceiling, wall or pole.
VIP Vision lists the VSBKTA137 junction box, VSBKTA109 with VSBKTB220C for a ceiling drop, the VSBKTB205W-E wall mount, and VSBKTB205W-E with VSBKTA152E for a pole.

From the box to the first warning.

Pick the spot
Out of easy reach, about 2.5–3 m up, facing the area you want covered. Identify range is 5 m, so keep the door or gate inside that.

Fix and cable it
Screw the base to the eave or ceiling, or use the VSBKTA137 junction box or a wall mount. Run Cat6 to an 802.3af PoE port.

Add it to the NVR
A VIP Vision NVR adds SMD 4.0 and perimeter protection search. Other recorders can use ONVIF Profile S, G or T.

Draw the rules
Set tripwire or intrusion zones for people, vehicles or both, then link the spotlight, strobe and siren to them.

Common questions
Is it one picture or two?
One. The two lenses are combined into a single 8MP stream of 4096 × 1860, 180° across and 86° high, so it takes one channel on the recorder.
What sets off the spotlight, strobe and siren?
A person or vehicle crossing a tripwire or entering an intrusion zone you draw. The camera switches from infrared to colour, so the footage of the event is in colour.
Do I have to use the siren?
No. The spotlight, strobe and siren only run when you link them to a rule. Leave them off and it works as a 180° camera with AI alerts.
How far can it see?
VIP Vision rates it to detect at 50 m, observe at 20 m, recognise at 10 m and identify at 5 m. At night, infrared reaches 25 m and the spotlights 20 m.
Does it record colour at night?
Yes, in low light down to 0.005 lux, and the spotlights turn on during an alarm. In full darkness it records black and white on infrared, up to 25 m.
How is it powered?
PoE (802.3af) from a VIP Vision PoE NVR or PoE switch, under 10.85 W. Or 12 V DC, under 8.7 W.
Does it have audio?
Yes. A built-in microphone and speaker, plus one RCA audio input and output. The speaker plays the siren tone or message.
Will it work with my recorder?
VIP Vision NVRs add it with SMD 4.0 and perimeter protection search. Other recorders that support ONVIF Profile S, G or T can record it.
Can it record without an NVR?
Yes. To a microSD card of up to 256GB, or to NAS, FTP or SFTP.
Which mounts fit it?
VSBKTA137 junction box, VSBKTA109 with VSBKTB220C for a ceiling drop, VSBKTB205W-E wall mount, and VSBKTB205W-E with VSBKTA152E for a pole.
What is the warranty?

Who can install the cabling?
Concealed Cat6 between the camera and the NVR or PoE switch is customer cabling under AS/CA S009 and needs an ACMA-registered cabler.

Installation and safety
Power. PoE (802.3af) or 12 V DC. Use one or the other.
Cabling. Concealed Cat6 between the camera and the PoE switch or NVR is customer cabling under AS/CA S009 and needs an ACMA-registered cabler. A new mains outlet for the recorder or switch needs a licensed electrician.
Aiming. At 180° the view is wide. Mask or angle it away from neighbouring yards and windows.
