Akuvox S562 7″ White Linux SIP Indoor Monitor — AK-S562-WHITE

- ✓7″ IPS capacitive touch, 1024×600, energy-saving mode
- ✓SIP v2 two-way audio/video with Akuvox door stations
- ✓802.3af PoE or 12 VDC; dual RJ45 10/100
- ✓8 alarm inputs, 1 relay, doorbell in, RS485
- ✓Wall or desktop mount — 216.4×118.8×21.7 mm
7″ SIP indoor monitor.
Linux, PoE, white — without Wi-Fi clutter.
The Akuvox AK-S562-WHITE puts a bright 7″ capacitive IPS panel on the wall for door video, two-way talk and simple SIP integration. Power it over 802.3af PoE or 12 VDC, mount it on a US/EU wall box or desk stand, and keep cabling honest — this white Linux SKU is the wired S562, not the Wi-Fi S562W.
ADD-ON INDOOR STATION — PAIR WITH A SIP DOOR STATION AND PoE (OR 12 V)
The S562 is the indoor answering panel only. It does not open the door by itself without a configured door station / relay path, and it does not include Wi-Fi. Most homes and apartments run it with an Akuvox villa or modular door phone on the same SIP network.
- Akuvox S562 indoor monitor (white)
- On-wall mounting bracket
- Quick-start documentation
- SIP door station (e.g. Akuvox E12 / R20 series)
- 802.3af PoE switch/injector or 12 VDC PSU
- Cat 5e / Cat 6 to the mount point
- Optional desk stand AK-S562DESK

Clear door video without a thick panel.
At 21.7 mm deep with a slim white bezel and linear speaker grille, the S562 sits flush in hallways and kitchen returns where a bulky Android tablet would dominate the wall.

DISPLAY · 01
7″ IPS touch at 1024×600.
Projected capacitive glass over a 7-inch IPS panel (1024×600, 800:1 contrast, 300 nits) keeps visitor video readable in typical indoor light, with an energy-saving mode for overnight installs.
Wide 85° viewing angles help when the panel sits slightly off-axis in a corridor or entry niche.
COMMUNICATION · 02
SIP two-way talk, H.264 video.
Built on SIP v1/v2 with H.264 video and G.711 / G.729 / G.722 audio, the S562 answers door phones and other SIP endpoints on the LAN or a SIP-capable PBX — including echo cancellation and AGC for clearer hallway conversations.
Dual 10/100 RJ45 ports simplify daisy-chain or switch uplinks in apartment risers.

I/O & POWER · 03
Eight alarms, relay, RS485, PoE.
8 alarm inputs, one relay output, a doorbell input and RS485 give installers room for sensors, bells and ancillary control without a separate indoor I/O hub for every flat.
Power from 802.3af PoE or 12 VDC (≤9 W full load). Web management, auto-provisioning and configuration backup keep multi-unit rollouts maintainable.
How it works
From cable to first door call.
01
Mount & power
Fix the wall bracket (or desk stand), land Cat 5e/6, and feed 802.3af PoE or 12 VDC.
02
Join the SIP network
Set IP / DHCP, register to your SIP server or Akuvox door phone, and confirm audio/video codecs.
03
Map I/O
Wire alarm inputs, doorbell and relay as required; use RS485 where the project needs it.
04
Live & monitor
Answer door calls, unlock via the linked relay path, and optionally view compatible CCTV streams.

Door
Akuvox E12 / R20 door station
SIP video door phone for the entry — the indoor S562 answers and can release the linked lock path.
Power
802.3af PoE switch
One cable for power and data; keep budget for a proper af port rather than a passive injector guess.
Desk
AK-S562DESK stand
Optional desktop cradle when wall boxing is awkward — sold separately.

Answers
Common questions
Does this white S562 include Wi-Fi?
No. AK-S562-WHITE is the wired Linux S562. Wi-Fi (including Wi-Fi 6 on newer boards) is on the S562W / S562W-2 family — order those SKUs if you need wireless on the indoor panel.
How do I power it?
Use IEEE 802.3af PoE on either RJ45 port, or a local 12 VDC supply if PoE is not available. Datasheet standby is ≤5 W and full load ≤9 W on both PoE and 12 V.
What do I need for a working door video call?
This is an indoor station only. Pair it with a SIP-capable Akuvox door station (for example an E12 or R20 series), a PoE switch or 12 V PSU, and Cat 5e/Cat 6 to the mount point.
Can it show CCTV cameras?
Yes — the S562 can stream live views from door-phone cameras and compatible third-party cameras over the network (H.264), so residents can check entries without leaving the indoor panel.
Wall box or surface mount?
Supports US and European electrical wall-box mounting as well as surface wall mount. A matching desk stand (AK-S562DESK) is sold separately if you prefer a tabletop install.
White or grey?
This listing is the white housing. A grey Linux S562 is a different SKU (AK-S562-GREY). Product photos on this page show the white unit.
Ready for Australian SIP projects.
Stocked and supported by Infront Technologies — datasheet attached, trade pricing available, and matching Akuvox door stations on the same catalogue.
Installation & safety notice
Low-voltage product (SELV). The AK-S562-WHITE is powered by IEEE 802.3af PoE or a plug-in 12 VDC supply — no mains work is required on the device itself, and there is no 240 V wiring inside the unit. A standard plug-in 12 V adapter in an existing GPO is fine to use as-is.
When a licensed tradesperson is required. Concealed structured data cabling between the indoor station, door station and PoE switch is customer cabling under AS/CA S009 and must be performed by an ACMA-registered cabler. Any electric lock, maglock or dedicated lock PSU is a separate electrical/security install and may require a licensed electrician or security installer.
Specifications in good faith. Firmware features and packing details can change at Akuvox’s discretion — verify the attached datasheet for your hardware revision before ordering. This SKU does not include Wi-Fi.
