Akuvox builds smart intercom and access control on open SIP, Linux and Android hardware, with on-device AI face recognition and the SmartPlus cloud platform. Systems are used daily across residential towers, villas, offices, healthcare and public-space sites in more than 80 countries.

The current range runs from compact E12S / E12W villa doorbells and R20 / R25 single-button stations, through S532, S535 and S538 facial-recognition door phones and the stainless X915S Android panel. Indoors, choose a 7″ Linux S562, 8″ Android 12 S563, 10″ S565 / S567 or the 15.6″ X937A AI monitor that puts door calls, CCTV and smart-home control on one screen.

Access control covers A01S–A08S card, PIN, QR and Bluetooth terminals, A15 / A05C face terminals, A094S / A095S four-door controllers, EC33 lift control and long-range UHF vehicle readers. SmartPlus ties it together: residents answer and unlock from their phone or Apple Watch, property managers issue keys and review access logs in the PM app, and sites can link third-party CCTV, alarm panels and Amazon Alexa.

What is an Akuvox intercom used for?

Akuvox systems handle door entry, video calling to an indoor monitor or phone, and access control (card, PIN, QR, Bluetooth or face). Typical sites are houses, apartment buildings, offices and aged-care entries.

What is SIP and why does it matter for an intercom?

SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) is the open standard VoIP phones use to set up voice and video calls over a network. Because Akuvox door stations are SIP devices, a visitor call can ring an Akuvox indoor monitor, the SmartPlus app, a desk phone or a reception PBX — you are not locked into one brand of handset, and the system grows over standard network cabling.

Do Akuvox door phones work with SIP PBX and mobile apps?

Yes. Most Akuvox door stations and indoor monitors are SIP endpoints, so they register to a standard SIP PBX or to Akuvox SmartPlus. Residents can answer and unlock from an indoor monitor, a SIP phone or the SmartPlus app.

Can I reuse existing two-wire intercom cable?

Akuvox 2-wire IP kits and converters (NC-2 / NS-2 / NX-2) carry power and data over existing two-wire runs — the usual path when upgrading analogue villa or apartment intercoms without full recabling.
