This SKU is the door station only.

How it works
Dial the flat, see the landing, unlock.
01
Choose on-wall or flush
Use the R27/R28 on-wall or in-wall kit — do not cut an ad-hoc hole around the 280 mm plate.
02
PoE and SIP
802.3af to the RJ45, then register to indoor monitors or a SIP PBX.
03
Map room numbers
Visitors dial the flat; map each directory entry to the right indoor station or ring group.
04
Enrol cards and PINs

Answers
Common questions
Is this Android?
The current R28A datasheet (V4.0) lists Linux. Do not assume Android apps will run on this SKU.
Induction-loop version?
No. This listing is the standard R28A. The induction-loop R28A is a different part number.
PoE class?
IEEE 802.3af.
Outdoor?
IP65. Add a rain cover where the soffit does not shelter the panel.
Keypad door phone, local stock.
Order R28A through Infront Technologies when the brief is a compact SIP station with a physical keypad rather than an 8-inch Android directory phone.
Installation & safety notice
Low-voltage product (SELV). Power from IEEE 802.3af PoE as stated on the Akuvox R28A datasheet. A 12 V / 400 mA output is available for a small auxiliary load — confirm current draw before you hang a lock off it.
When a licensed tradesperson is required. Concealed structured data / intercom cabling is customer cabling under AS/CA S009 and must be performed by an ACMA-registered cabler. Any electric lock, maglock or dedicated lock PSU is a separate electrical/security install and may require a licensed electrician or security installer.
Specifications in good faith. Firmware features and packing details can change at Akuvox’s discretion — verify the attached datasheet (where provided) for your hardware revision before ordering. Stocked and supported by Infront Technologies.
