The AK-E18C is Akuvox’s E18C: SIP intercom and access control behind a 7″ touchscreen. Residents are recognised as they walk up; visitors find a name, call and talk on video.

This SKU is the door station only.

You receive the E18C door phone with its wall-mounting bracket. Indoor monitors, the in-wall kit, rain hood, MD02 temperature module, PoE switch and lock hardware are sold separately.

Screen

A 7″ screen that guides every visitor.

The 600 × 1024 IPS touchscreen shows the face frame, contacts and a dial pad. Visitors call a flat in a couple of taps; residents enter a PIN or scan a QR code.

Calls run over SIP to Akuvox indoor monitors, the SmartPlus app or a SIP PBX, with echo-cancelled two-way audio and ONVIF video.

Access

Face in under 200 ms.

Dual 2 MP cameras with liveness detection recognise faces at 99.7% accuracy and can flag visitors without a mask. Up to 20,000 users, faces, cards and PINs.

The reader takes 13.56 MHz and 125 kHz cards (EM and MIFARE) plus Android NFC; Bluetooth 5.0 and QR codes cover phones and guests.

Install

Two doors, IP65 and IK07.

275 × 120 × 34.6 mm, IP65 and IK07, −20 °C to +55 °C. Surface-mount on the supplied bracket or flush-mount with the E18 in-wall kit.

Two relays and three inputs run two locks with exit buttons; two Wiegand ports and RS485 link readers and access controllers. There is also a TF card slot. Add MD02 for forehead temperature checks.

How it works

From install to first face.

Mount

Fix the wall bracket, or set the E18 in-wall kit for a flush finish. Add the rain hood on exposed entries.

PoE and SIP

Run 802.3af PoE to the RJ45 and register the E18C with indoor monitors, SmartPlus or your SIP PBX.

Enrol

Add users, faces, cards, PINs and QR codes in the web portal or Akuvox cloud.

Test

Check face recognition in the real light at the door and confirm each relay releases the right lock.

How is E18C different from E16C?

E18C has a 7″ screen, 2 relays, 3 inputs, a 13.56 MHz and 125 kHz reader, a TF slot and IK07. E16C has a 5″ screen, 1 relay and a 13.56 MHz reader in a narrower body.

Which cards does it read?

13.56 MHz MIFARE and 125 kHz EM cards, plus NFC from Android phones.

Can it be flush-mounted?

Yes, with the E18 in-wall kit, which is sold separately. It surface-mounts on the supplied bracket.

Does it measure temperature?

Only with the optional MD02 forehead temperature module fitted. Without it, E18C can still detect whether a visitor is wearing a mask.

What power does it need?

IEEE 802.3af PoE, or a 12 V DC supply if PoE is not available.

Installation & safety notice

Low-voltage product (SELV). Power from IEEE 802.3af PoE or a 12 V DC supply as stated on the Akuvox E18C datasheet. Treat as SELV low-voltage equipment.

When a licensed tradesperson is required. Concealed data and intercom cabling is customer cabling under AS/CA S009 and must be installed by an ACMA-registered cabler. Electric locks, maglocks and lock power supplies may require a licensed electrician or security installer.
