The AK-R27R28INWALLK is the Akuvox in-wall installation kit for the R27 and R28 series. Akuvox ships the door phone without mounting hardware and packs the flush-mounting parts in this kit.

Mounting hardware only.

Everything to flush-mount one R27 or R28. The door phone and the in-wall rain cover are sold separately.

A recessed R28 sits close to the wall with its cabling hidden — the usual choice for apartment lobbies and new builds where the recess can be planned in.

What you get

Box plus bracket.

The flush-mounting box lines the wall recess; the flush-mounting bracket screws into it with M4×10 screws and carries the door phone.

The station hooks over the top of the bracket and is locked from underneath with its two M3×6 hex socket screws.

How it works

Fitting the kit.

Cut the recess

Cut a 262.5 × 121 × 60 mm (H × W × D) hole, slightly oversize so the cables fit.

Fix the box

Mark six holes through the box, drill 6 mm, fit the anchors and fix the box with six ST4×20 screws.

Fit the bracket

Screw the flush-mounting bracket to the box with the M4×10 screws.

Hang the station

Hook the door phone onto the bracket, press down and lock it with its two M3×6 hex socket screws.

No. Akuvox packs the wall-mounting and flush-mounting parts in separate on-wall and in-wall kits.

What size recess do I need?

Akuvox specifies 262.5 × 121 × 60 mm (H × W × D), cut slightly larger so the cables fit.

Does it fit the R27?
