Akuvox E12S in silver is a compact single-button SIP video doorbell for houses, townhouses and apartment entries. 2 MP wide-angle camera, 13.56 MHz card and NFC reader, one lock relay and an IP65 body, powered by PoE over a single cable.
The AK-E12S is Akuvox’s E12S in silver: the award-winning E12 single-button doorbell in its wired Ethernet version. One cable carries data and 802.3af PoE, so the door station is powered and networked from the switch.
This SKU is the door station only.
You receive the silver E12S surface-mount doorbell. Indoor monitors, rain hood, angle bracket, power supply and lock hardware are sold separately.
Visitors press once and the call rings an Akuvox monitor or the SmartPlus app. Residents skip the call — tap a card, tap an Android phone (NFC), or unlock from the app.
Camera
A 2 MP 1/2.7″ CMOS camera covers 123° horizontally and 69° vertically and streams H.264 up to 1920 × 1080 at 30 fps.
A light sensor switches on the white-light LED for night calls, down to 0.1 lux. Echo cancellation keeps two-way audio clear on a busy street.
Access
The 13.56 MHz reader takes MIFARE and DESFire EV1 / EV2 / EV3 credentials, Android phones unlock over NFC, and the station also has Bluetooth (BLE 5.0). The station holds 1,000 users and 5,000 cards.
One relay releases a strike or maglock; two inputs take an exit button and door sensor, and the Wiegand port is selectable as input or output.
App
With the Akuvox SmartPlus app, residents see and talk to visitors and release the door from their phone — at home or away.
The same E12 can also ring Akuvox indoor monitors, so the household gets a screen on the wall and calls on the phone.
How it works

Fix the station to the door frame or pier. Add the E12 rain hood on exposed elevations or the angle bracket to aim the camera.

Run Cat5e/Cat6 with 802.3af PoE to the RJ45, or use a local 12 V DC supply.

Pair it with Akuvox indoor monitors, SmartPlus or your SIP PBX and enrol cards and users.

Press the button, check the picture day and night, and confirm the relay releases the lock.

No. Pair it with a compatible Akuvox indoor monitor, the SmartPlus app or any SIP endpoint.
Choose E12S when the door already has a network cable and you want one-cable PoE — or E12W when it does not.
Low-voltage product (SELV). Power from IEEE 802.3af PoE or a 12 V DC supply. Treat as SELV low-voltage equipment.
When a licensed tradesperson is required. Concealed data and intercom cabling is customer cabling under AS/CA S009 and must be installed by an ACMA-registered cabler. Electric locks, maglocks and lock power supplies may require a licensed electrician or security installer.
