A compact SIP video doorbell.
Wired Ethernet — not Wi-Fi.

The AK-E12S is Akuvox’s standard E12S: two-tone plastic villa station, one call button, 2 MP camera and 13.56 MHz reader. Plan on RJ45 with PoE 802.3af or 12 V DC. The E12S datasheet does not list Wi-Fi.

This SKU is the door station only.

You receive the E12S (Ethernet, standard two-tone finish). An indoor monitor, rain hood, angle bracket, PoE injector and electric lock are sold separately.

RJ45 10/100 is the uplink. Unlike E12W, the E12S datasheet does not list Wi-Fi. Do not sell this listing as a wireless door phone.

BLE 5.0 remains on the datasheet for short-range features where firmware enables them.

Does E12S have Wi-Fi?

No Wi-Fi line on the E12S datasheet. Order E12W if you need wireless at the door.

Is this the all-black E12S?

No. This listing is the standard two-tone E12S. AK-E12S-BLACK is a different SKU.

2-wire version?

E12S-2 is a different part number for NS-2 / C313W-2 systems.

PoE class?

IEEE 802.3af, or 12 V DC.

Installation & safety notice

Low-voltage product (SELV). Power from IEEE 802.3af PoE or a 12 V DC SELV supply as stated on the Akuvox E12S datasheet.

When a licensed tradesperson is required. Concealed structured data / intercom cabling is customer cabling under AS/CA S009 and must be performed by an ACMA-registered cabler. Any electric lock, maglock or dedicated lock PSU is a separate electrical/security install and may require a licensed electrician or security installer.
