The AK-E12S-BLACK is Akuvox’s E12S in black: the award-winning E12 single-button doorbell in its wired Ethernet version. One cable carries data and 802.3af PoE, so the door station is powered and networked from the switch.

This SKU is the door station only.

You receive the black E12S surface-mount doorbell. Indoor monitors, rain hood, angle bracket, power supply and lock hardware are sold separately.

Camera

See who is there, day or night.

A 2 MP 1/2.7″ CMOS camera covers 123° horizontally and 69° vertically and streams H.264 up to 1920 × 1080 at 30 fps.

A light sensor switches on the white-light LED for night calls, down to 0.1 lux. Echo cancellation keeps two-way audio clear on a busy street.

The 13.56 MHz reader takes MIFARE and DESFire EV1 / EV2 / EV3 credentials, Android phones unlock over NFC, and Bluetooth 5.0 supports phone-based entry. The station holds 1,000 users and 5,000 cards.

One relay releases a strike or maglock; two inputs take an exit button and door sensor, and the Wiegand port is selectable as input or output.

IP65 in a 23 mm profile.

146 × 70 × 23 mm, IP65, rated −40 °C to +60 °C, with a tamper alarm. The slim plate fits a door frame or narrow pier.

Add the E12 rain hood on exposed doors, or the angle bracket to turn the camera towards the path.

Run Cat5e/Cat6 with 802.3af PoE to the RJ45, or use a local 12 V DC supply.

Register

Pair it with Akuvox indoor monitors, SmartPlus or your SIP PBX and enrol cards and users.

Test the door

Press the button, check the picture day and night, and confirm the relay releases the lock.

What is the difference between E12S and E12W?

Same housing, camera and reader. E12W adds dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (2.4 / 5 GHz) alongside RJ45; E12S is the wired Ethernet version. This listing is the E12S — it has no Wi-Fi.

Is there a silver version?

Yes. The E12 comes in silver (black glass over a brushed silver panel) and all black. This listing is black; the silver E12S is a separate SKU.

How is it powered?

IEEE 802.3af PoE over the network cable, or a local 12 V DC supply.

Can I unlock the door from my phone?

Yes. SmartPlus app users can answer and unlock, Android phones can unlock over NFC, and Bluetooth 5.0 supports phone-based entry.

Is an indoor monitor included?

No. Pair it with a compatible Akuvox indoor monitor, the SmartPlus app or any SIP endpoint.

Installation & safety notice

Low-voltage product (SELV). Power from IEEE 802.3af PoE or a 12 V DC supply as stated on the Akuvox E12S datasheet. Treat as SELV low-voltage equipment.
