What is an Akuvox intercom used for?
Akuvox systems handle door entry, video calling to an indoor monitor or phone, and access control (card, PIN, QR, Bluetooth or face). Typical sites are houses, apartment buildings, offices and aged-care entries.
Do Akuvox door phones work with SIP PBX and mobile apps?
Yes. Most Akuvox door stations and indoor monitors are SIP endpoints, so they register to a standard SIP PBX or to Akuvox SmartPlus. Residents can answer and unlock from an indoor monitor, a SIP phone or the SmartPlus app.
Can I reuse existing two-wire intercom cable?
Akuvox 2-wire IP kits and converters (NC-2 / NS-2 / NX-2) carry power and data over existing two-wire runs — the usual path when upgrading analogue villa or apartment intercoms without full recabling.
