Android 12
One screen for the door and the home.
Android 12 with 2 GB RAM and 8 GB storage lets you install third-party apps, so the monitor can double as a smart-home panel for lighting, security and more.
The built-in voice assistant picks up commands from up to 5 m with up to 95% recognition accuracy, processes voice data on the device and understands English.

Voice changer
Answer without giving yourself away.
The voice changer disguises the resident’s voice on door calls — useful for older people or anyone living alone who would rather not reveal it to a stranger.
Eight alarm inputs, a doorbell input, one relay and RS485 connect sensors, a wired bell button and a lock. A tamper alarm flags removal from the wall.

Answers
Common questions
How is the S563 different from the S562?
The S563 has a larger 8-inch 1280 × 800 screen, Android 12 with 2 GB RAM, a voice assistant, a voice changer and a tamper alarm. The S562 is the 7-inch 1024 × 600 Linux model.
What’s the difference between S563 and S563W?
Same monitor, screen and I/O. The S563W adds Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 4.2. This one is the S563 in grey.
How is it powered?
From an IEEE 802.3af PoE switch or injector, or a 12 V DC supply (Akuvox recommends a 12 V 1 A adapter).
What can I mount it on?
Two brackets are supplied: one for US-style wall boxes and one for European and round boxes. It can also screw straight onto the wall with the supplied anchors. For a desk use the S563 desk stand; to tilt it on the wall, the S563 surface-mount angle box.
What does the voice assistant do?
It takes English voice commands from up to 5 m away with up to 95% recognition accuracy, and processes voice data on the device for privacy.
Which door stations work with it?
Akuvox SIP door stations such as the R20K, R25K, E12S and R28A, plus SIP PBXes and other standard SIP door phones.
Can I watch my CCTV cameras on it?
Yes. It supports RTSP, so it can show third-party IP cameras and NVR channels next to door calls — the embedded Akuvox video shows how.
What’s in the box?
The monitor, US and European wall-mounting brackets, 8-pin and 10-pin cables, a diode, foam pads, screws, wall anchors and a crosshead screwdriver. Door station, PoE switch and power supply are separate.
The 8-inch step up from S562.
Pick the S563 when residents want a larger screen, Android apps and voice control.
Installation & safety notice
Low-voltage product (SELV). Power from IEEE 802.3af PoE, or a 12 V DC supply (12 V 1 A recommended) where PoE isn’t available.
When a licensed tradesperson is required. Concealed data and intercom cabling is customer cabling under AS/CA S009 and must be installed by an ACMA-registered cabler. Electric locks, maglocks and lock power supplies may require a licensed electrician or security installer.
