Drive up.
The gate opens.

The AK-ACR-CRP12 is Akuvox’s long-range UHF reader for car parks, boom gates and garage doors. It reads windscreen tags from up to 15 m as the vehicle approaches.

This SKU is the long-range reader only.

You receive the ACR-CRP12 reader. UHF tags, the gate or door controller, mounting post and 12 V DC power supply are sold separately.

Hands-free vehicle access.

In Akuvox’s design the reader identifies the tag on an approaching vehicle and passes it to the Akuvox door phone at the entry, which verifies it and triggers the gate — ideal for apartment car parks and staff parking.

Outdoor

IP66 for open-air posts.

The sealed white housing is rated IP66 and −20 °C to +65 °C, so it can sit on a post at the gate line.

A 9 dBi antenna reads EPC Gen2 tags in the 902–928 MHz (US) and 865–868 MHz (EU) bands at up to 15 m.

How it works

Three-part vehicle access.

01

Enrol

02

Fit

Mount the reader facing the approach lane and fix the tag inside the windscreen.

03

Answers

Common questions

How far does it read?

Up to 15 m according to Akuvox. Real range depends on tag placement, windscreen coatings and mounting angle.

Which tags does it read?

UHF EPC Gen2 (ISO 18000-6C) tags such as the Akuvox UHF-TAG11 windscreen tag.

Can it be mounted outdoors?

Yes. The housing is IP66 and rated −20 °C to +65 °C.

How does it connect to the gate?

Through Wiegand, RS485 or TCP/IP to an access controller or compatible Akuvox device, which then switches the gate.

What power does it need?

9–15 V DC. Allow for up to 3 A while reading, per the datasheet.

Car park access, local stock.

Order the ACR-CRP12 with UHF tags and an ACR-CID12 enrolment reader from Infront Technologies for Australian stock and site design advice.

Installation & safety notice

Low-voltage product (SELV). Runs on 9–15 V DC (standby under 1 A, under 3 A while reading) per the Akuvox ACR-CRP12 datasheet. Treat as SELV low-voltage equipment; gate and barrier motors are a separate electrical install.

When a licensed tradesperson is required. Concealed data and intercom cabling is customer cabling under AS/CA S009 and must be installed by an ACMA-registered cabler. Electric locks, maglocks and lock power supplies may require a licensed electrician or security installer.
