The AK-A03 is Akuvox’s A03S. It is the A01’s compact glass-fronted terminal with Bluetooth 5.0 added, so a phone in a pocket or bag becomes the key — and cards and NFC still work for everyone else.

This SKU is the access terminal only.

You receive the A03S terminal. Bkey fobs, cards, the on-wall box, exit button, lock and lock power supply are sold separately.

With Bluetooth, people open the door from their phone without digging out a card. Cards and Android NFC still work, and the built-in relay means the A03S runs the door on its own.

Bluetooth

Phones and Bkey fobs over BLE 5.0.

Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0 lets an enrolled phone running the Akuvox app open the door with a wave or a tap — no card needed.

The Akuvox Bkey Bluetooth fob also works with the A03 on firmware 103.30.10.105 or later, for users who would rather not use a phone.

Cards and NFC

Every other credential still works.

The reader takes 13.56 MHz and 125 kHz cards and fobs, and Android phones can unlock over NFC.

It holds 20,000 users and 20,000 cards and logs 100,000 entries — use it on doors, gates or lift lobbies.

Controller

Runs the door by itself.

One relay drives the lock and two inputs take an exit button and a door sensor. A tamper alarm warns if it is removed.

Toughened glass and aluminium, IP65 and IK07, with flush or surface mounting. Manage it in the web portal, Akuvox Cloud or ACMS.

From bare door to phone access.

Mount

Fit the A03S over an 86 junction box or on the A01/A02/A03 on-wall box.

Wire the door

Run PoE to the RJ45, then wire the relay to the lock supply and the inputs to the exit button and door sensor.

Enrol

Add users, phones, Bkey fobs and cards in Akuvox Cloud, ACMS or the web portal, with schedules and access levels.

Test

Unlock with a phone, a Bkey, a card and NFC, then check the exit button and the access log.

How do phones unlock the A03S?

Over Bluetooth 5.0 with the Akuvox app, or by NFC on Android phones.

Does it work with the Akuvox Bkey?

Yes. Akuvox lists the A03 as Bkey-compatible on firmware 103.30.10.105 or later.

Can it still read cards?

Yes — 13.56 MHz and 125 kHz cards and fobs.

Does it have a keypad?

No. For PIN codes choose the A02, which has a touch keypad in the same size housing.

How is it powered?

From IEEE 802.3af PoE, or a 12 V DC supply.

Phone access at the door, local stock.

Choose the A03S when residents or staff want to use their phones. For cards only pick the A01; for PIN codes pick the A02. Order through Infront Technologies for Australian stock and setup advice.

Installation & safety notice

Low-voltage product (SELV). Power from IEEE 802.3af PoE or a 12 V DC supply, as stated on the Akuvox A03S datasheet. Treat as SELV low-voltage equipment.

When a licensed tradesperson is required. Concealed data and intercom cabling is customer cabling under AS/CA S009 and must be installed by an ACMA-registered cabler. Electric locks, maglocks and lock power supplies may require a licensed electrician or security installer.
