The AK-A094S is Akuvox’s A094S: a central access controller for four doors. Readers mount at the doors, while the controller sits in a secure riser or comms room and makes every decision — so nobody can open a door by prising a reader off the wall.

This SKU is the controller only.

You receive the A094S controller in its cabinet. Readers, exit buttons, locks and lock power supplies are sold separately.

Secure doors start behind the wall.

With the decision-making kept inside a tamper-alarmed cabinet, readers at the door only pass credentials. Mix Wiegand and OSDP readers, link doors with interlock and anti-passback, and manage it all from Akuvox Cloud or ACMS.

Readers

Up to eight readers on four doors.

Four Wiegand ports take 26, 34 and 58-bit readers, and four RS485 ports take OSDP and OSDP v2 readers for encrypted, supervised links.

Use Akuvox A01, A02, A08 or CRP11 readers, or the readers already on site.

I/O

Eight relays and 13 inputs.

Eight relay outputs drive locks and auxiliary devices; 13 inputs monitor exit buttons, door contacts and alarms.

Four power outputs feed readers from the cabinet. Status lights show the controller’s state, and a tamper alarm covers the door of the cabinet.

Logic

Anti-passback, interlock and first person in.

Anti-passback stops one card being passed back for a second person. Multi-door interlock keeps one door shut while another is open, for airlocks and clean rooms.

First-person-in keeps doors locked until an authorised person arrives. Emergency door release (EDR) opens doors when needed. It stores 50,000 users and cards and 100,000 logs.

Mount the cabinet

Fix the A094S to the wall in a riser or comms room and have an electrician connect the 100–240 V AC supply.

Wire the doors

Run each reader back on Wiegand or RS485, and wire relays, exit buttons and door contacts.

Configure

Set doors, schedules, anti-passback and interlock in the web portal, Akuvox Cloud or ACMS.

Commission

Test every reader, exit button and door sensor, then confirm the logs and tamper alarm.

Mains-powered equipment. The A094S takes 100–240 V AC directly, so the mains connection must be made by a licensed electrician. Concealed data cabling is customer cabling under AS/CA S009 and must be installed by an ACMA-registered cabler.
