Akuvox A01S is a compact IP access terminal — card reader and single-door controller in one 86 × 86 mm glass-fronted unit. It reads 13.56 MHz and 125 kHz cards plus NFC from Android phones, switches a lock from its own relay, and runs from PoE. IP65 and IK07 for outdoor doors.
The AK-A01 is Akuvox’s A01S: an 86 × 86 mm access terminal with a toughened glass front and aluminium frame. Behind the glass sits a dual-frequency card reader and a complete single-door controller, so one PoE cable gives you a working, networked door.
This SKU is the access terminal only.
You receive the A01S terminal. Cards, fobs, the on-wall box, exit button, lock and lock power supply are sold separately.
Staff and residents tap a card or an Android phone and the A01S releases the lock itself — no separate controller to buy or wire. Every entry is logged, and the door can be managed on site in the web portal or remotely through Akuvox Cloud.
Reader
The reader handles 13.56 MHz and 125 kHz cards, so it works with most existing building credentials as well as new MIFARE cards and fobs. Android phones can unlock over NFC.
It stores 20,000 users and 20,000 cards and keeps 100,000 access log entries, which you can search and export from the web portal.
Controller
One relay drives the strike or maglock, and two inputs take an exit button and a door sensor. A tamper alarm warns if the unit is pulled off the wall.
The Wiegand port can be set as input or output. Wire in an extra reader, or switch the A01S to reader mode and feed a larger Akuvox controller such as the A094S.
Management
Set access schedules and access levels per user, and run shift scheduling and attendance reports from the same logs.
Manage a single door in the web portal, or a whole site in Akuvox Cloud and ACMS. Auto-provisioning, configuration backup and firmware upgrades are built in.
How it works

Fit the A01S over an 86 junction box (flush) or on the A01/A02/A03 on-wall box. IP65 and IK07 suit outdoor doors.

Run PoE to the RJ45, then wire the relay to the lock power supply and the inputs to your exit button and door sensor.

Add users and cards in the web portal, Akuvox Cloud or ACMS, and set schedules and access levels.

Tap each card and an Android phone, press the exit button and confirm the lock and logs respond correctly.

Choose the A01S when cards and phones are all you need. Add a keypad with the A02 or Bluetooth with the A03 — same size, same mounting.
Low-voltage product (SELV). Power from IEEE 802.3af PoE or a 12 V DC supply. Treat as SELV low-voltage equipment.
When a licensed tradesperson is required. Concealed data and intercom cabling is customer cabling under AS/CA S009 and must be installed by an ACMA-registered cabler. Electric locks, maglocks and lock power supplies may require a licensed electrician or security installer.
