The AK-X937A is Akuvox’s X937 flagship indoor monitor. A 15.6-inch 1920 × 1080 touch screen in a slim aluminium frame handles door calls, shows up to 25 live CCTV feeds from an NVR over HDMI, and answers to natural spoken commands through Akuvox’s AI voice assistant.

This SKU is the indoor monitor with its wall bracket.

You receive the X937A with its wall-mounting bracket, fixings and wiring cables. The X937 in-wall mounting box, desk stand, door stations, PoE+ switch and power supply are sold separately.

15.6 inches of Full HD.

15.6-inch IPS touch screen at 1920 × 1080 with ultra-narrow bezels, 1000:1 contrast, auto-adjusting 250 cd/m² brightness and 89° viewing in every direction.

An aluminium front, 8 GB RAM / 32 GB ROM and a 6 TOPS NPU keep Android 14 and third-party apps running smoothly. 360 × 210 × 21 mm.

Your NVR, on the intercom screen.

Plug an NVR into the HDMI input and the X937A shows up to 25 live camera feeds while still taking door calls and releasing locks.

Quad microphones and quad speakers give clear calls, and a 5 MP camera in the top bar allows two-way video. Two relays, eight alarm inputs, a bell input and RS485 handle wiring.

AI voice & apps

The Akuvox AI voice assistant, built on a large language model, understands natural English requests — open the door, show a camera, set a scene — with pickup up to 5 metres.

Google GMS certification brings Google Play for streaming, recipes and fitness apps, alongside Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3.

How it works

From install to first call.

Mount

Fix the supplied bracket over a 75 × 75 × 90 mm cable recess, or onto the X937 in-wall box in a 102 × 102 × 90 mm cut-out. Or use the X937 desk stand.

Power and network

Run 802.3at PoE+ to the RJ45, or use 12 V DC 2.5 A. Connect the NVR’s HDMI output if showing CCTV.

Pair the door

Register the monitor and door station to each other, or to your SIP PBX, in the web portal.

Test

Call from the door, check camera feeds and voice commands, and confirm each relay releases the right lock.

Common questions

What does the HDMI input do?

It takes the HDMI output of an NVR, so the X937A can show up to 25 live CCTV camera feeds on the same screen as intercom calls.

What power does it need?

IEEE 802.3at PoE+ (standard 802.3af PoE is not enough), or a 12 V DC 2.5 A supply.

Can I install Android apps?

Yes. It runs Android 14 and is Google GMS certified, so apps install from Google Play.

How is it mounted, and is a back box included?

The wall bracket and fixings come in the box. The bracket fixes over a 75 × 75 × 90 mm cable recess, or onto the X937 in-wall mounting box (sold separately) in a 102 × 102 × 90 mm cut-out. For a desk or bench, add the X937 desk stand.

What can the voice assistant do?

It understands natural English requests — such as showing the front door camera — with pickup up to 5 metres and up to 95% recognition accuracy.

Does it work with Wi-Fi only?

It has Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3, but still needs power: PoE+ through one of the two RJ45 ports, or a 12 V DC supply.

Installation & safety notice

Low-voltage product (SELV). Power from IEEE 802.3at PoE+, or a 12 V DC supply where PoE+ isn’t available.

When a licensed tradesperson is required. Concealed data and intercom cabling is customer cabling under AS/CA S009 and must be installed by an ACMA-registered cabler. Electric locks, maglocks and lock power supplies may require a licensed electrician or security installer.
