The AK-KF01 is Akuvox’s KF01 key fob. Its Fudan chip is compatible with MIFARE Classic 1K, so it enrols and reads on any Akuvox device that takes S50 cards and F08 fobs. Each SKU is one fob.
This SKU is one key fob.
You receive a single KF01 fob. Akuvox door phones, access terminals and the ACR-CID01 desktop reader are sold separately.
- 1 × Akuvox KF01 key fob
- Akuvox door phone or access terminal with a 13.56 MHz reader
- Akuvox ACR-CID01 (optional) for desk enrolment
The everyday fob.
The KF01 is the value choice for apartments and offices already using MIFARE Classic cards. For a genuine NXP chip choose the KF02; for encrypted DESFire security choose the KF03.

Fob
A shell built for key rings.
The PC+ABS body resists knocks and cracking, and the slot takes a key ring or lanyard.
Akuvox says it reads reliably even beside keys, coins or the body, with no battery to replace.
Tap to enter
Tap on the reader.
Hold the fob over the card area of an Akuvox door phone or access terminal and the door releases.
Data retention is over 10 years, with at least 100,000 write cycles.

Answers
Common questions
How do the KF01, KF02 and KF03 differ?
Same fob shell, different chip. The grey KF01 has a Fudan chip that is MIFARE Classic compatible; the orange KF02 has a genuine NXP MIFARE Classic S50 chip; the blue KF03 has an NXP MIFARE DESFire EV3 chip with AES encryption, 8 KB memory and EAL5+ certification, the hardest of the three to copy.
Is this one fob or a pack?
One fob. Order the quantity you need.
Which Akuvox devices read it?
Akuvox door phones and access terminals with 13.56 MHz MIFARE readers, including A01, A02, A03, A05 V2, A08, E12 V2, E16 V2, E18, R20 V5, R25, R27, R28 V2, R29, S532, S535, S539, X910, X912, X915 V2 and X916 on current firmware.
How do I enrol it?
On the device’s user page click Obtain and hold the fob on the reader, or capture it at a desk with the Akuvox ACR-CID01 USB reader.
How is it different from the F08 fob?
Both use a Fudan MIFARE Classic-compatible chip. The KF01 is a newer, slightly larger grey fob (44.6 × 34.5 × 6 mm) in a PC+ABS shell; the F08 is a white PVC teardrop.
Can it be encrypted?
Yes, like a MIFARE Classic card: write a sector key with the Akuvox ACRM tool and an ACR-CID01, then enter the same key on each device.
Does it need a battery?
No. It is passive and powered by the reader’s field.
Fobs ready to issue.
KF01 fobs enrol at any Akuvox door phone or ACR-CID01 desktop reader, so new residents can be issued a fob in minutes.
