iCLASS and SEOS in a slim A08.

The AK-A08HI is the HID iCLASS version of Akuvox’s A08S. The body, keypad, QR scanner and Bluetooth are the same as the standard A08S, but the card reader is an HID module — so sites already issuing HID iCLASS or SEOS cards can move to a networked Akuvox door without reissuing credentials.

This SKU is the access terminal only.

You receive the A08S HID iCLASS terminal. The in-wall box, HID cards, Bkey fobs, exit button, lock and lock power supply are sold separately.

The 13.56 MHz HID module reads HID iCLASS and HID SEOS as well as ISO14443A, ISO14443B and ISO15693 cards.

This version does not read 125 kHz proximity cards. Pair it with HID cards rather than 125 kHz fobs.

Which cards does it read?

13.56 MHz HID iCLASS and HID SEOS, plus ISO14443A, ISO14443B and ISO15693 cards.

Does it read 125 kHz HID Prox cards?

No. This version is 13.56 MHz only. Akuvox makes a separate A08 HID Prox version for 125 kHz cards.

How is it different from the standard A08S?

Same body, keypad, QR and Bluetooth. The standard A08S reads 13.56 MHz and 125 kHz cards with NFC; this version swaps in an HID iCLASS/SEOS reader.

Can it connect to a third-party controller?

Yes, over Wiegand or OSDP on RS485.

How is it powered?

From IEEE 802.3af PoE or a 12 V DC supply.
