Answers
Common questions
How does it connect to an Akuvox door phone?
Wire the red NO / COM1 pair to the door phone’s exit-button input. When pressed, the door phone fires its lock relay.
Does the LED need its own supply?
Yes, if you want it lit. The blue pair runs from a 12–24 V DC supply through the built-in dropper resistor (LED working voltage 6–12 V).
Can the light go off when the button is pressed?
Yes. Depending on wiring, the LED is on by default and goes off when pressed, or off by default and lights when pressed.
What size wall box does it fit?
A standard single-gang 115 × 70 mm box, recessed about 29.2 mm (± 3 mm) into the wall.
Is it vandal resistant?
Yes. The 1.7 mm stainless plate and metal button are rated IK10 for impact.
What comes in the box?
The button plus two ST3.5 × 30 self-tapping screws and two plastic wall anchors.
How is it different from the EB13?
EB11 is a mechanical push button on a tall 115 × 70 mm plate rated IK10. EB13 is a touch-free infrared sensor on an 86 × 86 mm plate, rated IP55.
Exit buttons.
The EB11 wires to the exit input of any Akuvox door phone or A08, so staff and residents can release the door from inside.
