An extra camera, or a replacement.
Made for your Swann NVR.

The genuine Swann Master-Series 4K bullet camera, sold on its own as an extra camera for a free channel or a replacement camera for one that has stopped working. Upscaled 4K video, a heat-sensing spotlight and colour night vision, all over one PoE cable.

In one sentence: a plug-in add-on and replacement camera for Swann 8580, 8780 and 8600 RN / RU recorders that lights up and records when a person or car moves into view.

Check your recorder before you order

This camera works with Swann NVR-8580, NVR-8780 and NVR-8600 recorders ending in RN or RU (4, 8 or 16-channel). The RN or RU is printed after the model code on the label under the recorder, for example NVR8-8580RN. It does not work with Swann DVRs (BNC cameras), Wi-Fi NVRs or other brands of recorder.

In the box
  • Swann NHD-875WLB bullet camera with mounting base
  • Mounting screws and wall plugs
  • 18 m Cat5e Ethernet cable (only with the "18Mtr Swann Standard Cable" option)
  • Supplied in plain brown box packaging
You also need
  • A compatible Swann NVR (RN or RU model) with a free PoE port
  • An Ethernet cable to the camera if you choose the no-cable option
  • A drill and screwdriver for mounting

The add-on camera for the Swann system you already own.

It is the same camera Swann supplies in its Master-Series 4K NVR kits (SWNVK-876802, 876804, 876806, 876808 and 1676808), so it matches the cameras already on your house and shows up in the same NVR and Swann Security app. Plug it into the recorder, and it is part of the system.

Why people buy it

Six reasons Swann owners pick the 875WLB.

A camera has stopped working

Lightning, water in the housing, a vandal or plain old age. The 875WLB is the like-for-like Swann replacement camera for Master-Series kits: unplug the dead camera, reuse its cable and plug this one in.

Replacing an older Swann camera

Swann’s compatibility chart lists the 875WLB for the same NVR-8580 RN / RU and NVR-8780 RN recorders as the older NHD-865MSB, NHD-865MSFB and NHD-866MSD, so it is the current replacement for those cameras, with a sharper 4K picture.

Spare channels on the NVR

Most Swann kits ship with fewer cameras than channels: a 4-camera kit on an 8-channel NVR has four free ports. Each 875WLB adds one extra camera to the same recorder, app and recordings.

A blind spot you keep worrying about

The side gate, the garage, the back shed, the bins. One more Swann add-on camera covers the spot the original kit missed, with a spotlight that switches on when someone walks in.

The best Swann camera for night

It is our best-selling Swann camera for a reason: colour video at night when the spotlight is on, infrared to 40 m, heat-and-motion True Detect and a microphone, in one weatherproof PoE bullet.

Matching the cameras already up

Same white bullet housing, same menus and same app as the cameras from your Swann Master-Series kit, so the new camera looks and works like the rest of the system.

Powerful deterrence

Someone walks in. The light comes on.

Swann True Detect senses heat and motion together, out to about 7 m, so people and cars trigger the camera and blowing leaves mostly don’t. The built-in spotlight switches on (20 seconds by default, up to 3 minutes), the NVR records and the Swann Security app sends a push alert.

Night2Day

See it at 2am, not just at 2pm.

In total darkness the infrared picks up detail up to 40 m away in black and white. When the spotlight is on, Night2Day shows colour video up to 10 m, so you can tell the colour of a jacket or a car instead of a grey shape.

One cable, all weather

Power, video and audio down one cable.

Power over Ethernet (PoE) from the Swann NVR runs the camera, its video and its microphone over a single network cable. The IP66 housing handles rain, dust and temperatures from −30 °C to 55 °C, and the microphone picks up voices about 5 m away.

How it goes in

From the box to on-screen in four steps.

01

Check your NVR

Look at the label under your Swann recorder. The model must end in RN or RU, and you need a free PoE port on the back.

02

Pick the spot

Wall or eaves, about 2.5–3 m up, where people will pass within 7 m. That is the reach of the heat sensor that triggers the light.

03

Run the cable

Choose the 18 m Cat5e cable option, or reuse the cable already in place if you are swapping out an old camera.

04

Plug it in

Connect it to a PoE port on the NVR. The recorder powers it up and detects it. Then set the light, detection and audio in the NVR menu or the Swann Security app.

Pair it with

Everything that works with it.

Recorder

Swann 8-Channel NVR-8580 (RN)

Starting fresh? The 8-channel RN recorder with a 2TB drive runs this camera and up to seven more.

Recorder

Swann 16-Channel NVR-8580 (RN)

Room for 16 PoE cameras on one recorder for bigger homes and businesses.

Mounting

IFTB801 junction box

Sits under the camera base to hide the cable joint and keep weather off the connection.

Save on more

875WLB 4-pack

The same camera in a pack of four for filling several free channels at once.

Where it is used

Where an 875WLB earns its keep.

Driveway and carport

The light comes on as a car or person comes up the drive, and the 80° view covers the cars and the front path.

Side gate and pathway

The way in that no one watches. Heat sensing ignores swaying plants and alerts you to people.

Back yard, patio and pool

Colour night video across the entertaining area, with infrared out to 40 m for the back fence.

Shopfront and rear door

A visible camera with a light that switches on is a strong deterrent at the loading door or bin area.

Common questions

Will it work with my Swann recorder?

It works with Swann NVR-8580, NVR-8780 and NVR-8600 recorders ending in RN or RU, in 4, 8 and 16-channel versions. Swann’s compatibility chart does not list it for other recorders, so if your NVR model doesn’t end in RN or RU, send us the model and we’ll check before you order.

Where do I find RN or RU on my NVR?

On the label underneath the recorder, straight after the model code, for example NVR8-8580RN or NVR16-8600RU.

Does it work with a Swann DVR?

No. DVRs use analogue BNC cameras. This is a network (IP) camera that plugs into the PoE ports on a Swann NVR.

Is it true 4K?

It is Swann’s upscaled 4K: the picture is digitally enhanced and recorded at 3840 × 2160. It gives a sharper image and better zoom than 1080p. If you need native 4K detail, for example to read number plates at a distance, ask us about a native 4K camera.

How far can it see at night?

Up to 40 m in black and white using infrared in total darkness, and up to 10 m in colour when the spotlight is on.

What turns the spotlight on?

The True Detect PIR sensor, which reacts to heat and motion together (people, animals, warm cars) up to about 7 m away. The light stays on for 20 seconds by default and can be set for up to 3 minutes, or switched off, in the NVR settings.

Does it record sound?

Yes. It has a built-in microphone that picks up voices about 5 m away. It is listen-only (no speaker), and audio recording is off by default, so turn it on in the NVR’s recording settings if you want it.

Should I choose the cable option?

If you are replacing a camera and the old cable is still in place, choose “No Cable” and reuse it. For a new camera position, the 18 m Cat5e cable option gives you a ready-made cable to the NVR.

Can I replace a camera from my Swann Master-Series kit with this?

Yes. The NHD-875WLB is the camera Swann supplies in its Master-Series 4K NVR kits (SWNVK-876802, SWNVK-876804, SWNVK-876806, SWNVK-876808 and SONVK-1676808), so it is a like-for-like replacement on those systems.

My old Swann camera is an NHD-865MSB, NHD-865MSFB or NHD-866MSD. Will this replace it?

Yes, if your recorder is an NVR-8580 RN / RU or NVR-8780 RN: Swann’s compatibility chart lists all of these cameras for those recorders. The 875WLB is a bullet camera, so if you are replacing a dome (866MSD) the mounting position may need to change.

How many extra cameras can I add to my Swann NVR?

One per free channel: up to 8 cameras on an 8-channel NVR and up to 16 on a 16-channel NVR. Count the cameras already plugged in to see how many add-on cameras you have room for.

Is this the best Swann camera for my NVR?

For most homes, yes. It is our best-selling Swann camera: 4K upscaled, colour at night with the spotlight, heat-and-motion detection and audio. If you need a wider view or native 4K detail for number plates, ask us and we’ll suggest the right camera.

Is it a genuine Swann camera?

Yes. It is the genuine Australian model SWNHD-875WLB-AU, supplied in plain brown box packaging, and set up in the free Swann Security app like the rest of your system.

Do I need a subscription?

No. Recordings are stored on your Swann NVR’s hard drive and you view them in the free Swann Security app, with no monthly fee.

Can I mount it under the eaves?

Yes. The adjustable base mounts on a wall or a ceiling surface such as the eaves. Our IFTB801 junction box fits under the base to tidy the cable joint.

Supported by Infront Technologies.

Not sure which Swann recorder you have? Send us a photo of the label under your NVR and we’ll confirm this camera suits it before you order. Australian stock, local support.

Installation and safety

Cabling. In Australia, cable fixed inside walls or ceilings must be installed by a registered cabler. Plugging a ready-made cable between the camera and the NVR is fine to do yourself.

Working at height. Use a stable ladder and have someone with you when mounting under the eaves.

Privacy and audio. Aim the camera at your own property. Recording conversations is covered by state surveillance laws, so check the rules for your state before turning audio on.
