Answers
Common questions
How is the silver R20A different from the black R20A?
Only the finish. Camera, card reader, relays, capacity and housing are identical and both use the same brackets — pick the silver in-wall kit and rain hoods to match.
How does R20A compare with R25A?
Both are 145 × 85 mm single-button stations with two relays. R20A has a 2 MP camera covering 110° × 58° and stores 20,000 cards and 4,000 users; R25A has a 4 MP fisheye covering 150° × 150° and stores 5,000 cards and 1,000 users.
How many cards and users does it store?
Up to 20,000 cards and 4,000 users, on EM (125 kHz), MIFARE and DESFire EV1 / EV2 / EV3 (13.56 MHz) credentials. Access tables can be exported and imported through the web portal.
What power does it need?
IEEE 802.3af PoE over the network cable, or a 12 V DC 1 A adapter. On 12 V DC keep the power run within 50 m on 20 AWG, 40 m on 22 AWG or 20 m on 24 AWG cable.
Can it be flush-mounted?
Yes, with the silver R20A / R25A in-wall installation kit (sold separately), which needs a 180 × 101 × 50 mm wall recess.
Will it record to my NVR?
Yes. The R20A supports ONVIF and RTSP, so ONVIF-capable NVRs can add it as a camera channel.
What comes in the box?
The door phone with its wall-mounting bracket and fixings, wiring cover, rubber cable plugs and two diodes for lock coils. Indoor monitor, power supply and lock hardware are sold separately.
Does it have a keypad?
No — entry is by card, Android NFC, the indoor monitor or the SmartPlus app. For PIN entry choose the R20K.
A video door phone for tight spots.
Choose the silver R20A to suit the entry; the black R20A has identical electronics. Want a wider fisheye picture? See the R25A.
