The Hikvision DS-2CD2387G3-LIS2UY/SL is an 8 MP 4K fixed turret in a white metal housing that pairs ColorVu full-colour night vision (F1.0, 1/1.8" sensor) with Smart Hybrid Light, an active strobe-and-siren deterrent and two-way audio — IP67 and NEMA 4X rated, powered by a single PoE cable.

The DS-2CD2387G3-LIS2UY/SL operates on your LAN over a single Ethernet run. It does not include an NVR, hard drive or cloud subscription. Most installs record to a Hikvision PoE NVR or an ONVIF-compatible recorder; the onboard microSD slot covers edge recording.

A large 1/1.8" CMOS behind an F1.0 super-aperture lens holds full colour down to 0.0005 lux — clothing and vehicle colours stay identifiable long after IR-only cameras have dropped to monochrome.
Smart Hybrid Light adds 850 nm IR and a white light (up to 30 m) with three modes, while HikAI-ISP, 130 dB scene-adaptive WDR and EIS keep mixed lighting and headlight glare readable.

Deep-learning human and vehicle classification filters line-crossing, intrusion and region entry/exit rules so pets and headlights don’t wake you. When a real event fires, the camera can flash its strobe and sound an audible warning on the spot.
The arrayed dual microphone and 110 dB speaker give you live two-way talk from Hik-Connect — challenge a prowler, or direct a courier, from anywhere.

Is this the white or the black camera?
This listing is the white housing — the standard DS-2CD2387G3-LIS2UY/SL. Hikvision also makes a black version under a separate (Black) suffixed part number, which is a different SKU. All product photos on this page show the white unit you will receive.
Which lens do I get — 2.8 mm or 4 mm?
Hikvision builds this model with a 2.8 mm or 4 mm fixed lens. The 2.8 mm covers a wide 108.8° horizontal view for driveways and entries close-up; the 4 mm trades width for reach (DORI detect 109 m vs 89 m). Confirm the focal length on your order confirmation and packing label before install.
Does it come with a recorder or need a subscription?
No. This is a standalone IP camera — no NVR, hard drive or cloud plan in the box, and no subscription required. Record to a Hikvision PoE NVR, an ONVIF-compatible third-party recorder or NAS, or the onboard microSD slot (card up to 512 GB, sold separately).
How does the strobe and siren deterrent work?
When a linked event fires — for example a person crossing a line you have drawn — the camera can flash its built-in strobe and play an audible warning through the 110 dB speaker. You choose which rules trigger it and when (e.g. only after hours) in the web interface, iVMS-4200 or Hik-Connect.
Can I talk to someone at the camera?
Yes. The camera has an arrayed dual microphone with environment noise filtering and a built-in speaker, so you can hold a two-way conversation from the Hik-Connect app or a compatible NVR — useful for couriers, gates and after-hours challenges.
What does ColorVu with Smart Hybrid Light actually do at night?
The F1.0 aperture and large 1/1.8" sensor keep the image in full colour down to 0.0005 lux. Smart Hybrid Light combines 850 nm IR and a white light (up to 30 m, three modes): run discreet IR, constant colour with the white light, or smart mode that switches to white light only when an event is detected.
How do I power it?
Use PoE IEEE 802.3at (PoE+, Class 4, max 17 W) over a single Cat 5e/Cat 6 run up to 100 m, or a local 12 VDC supply (max 15.5 W). Note the 802.3at requirement — a budget 802.3af-only switch port may not run the strobe, speaker and white light reliably.
Is it OK near the coast?
The housing is IP67 with NEMA 4X anti-corrosion protection (moderate level per Hikvision’s classification) — suited to coastal areas roughly 2 km or more from the shoreline and areas affected by acid rain. For jetties, docks and direct salt-spray exposure, ask us about top-level anti-corrosion models.

Installation & safety notice
Low-voltage product (SELV). The DS-2CD2387G3-LIS2UY/SL is powered from 12 VDC or IEEE 802.3at PoE — there is no mains wiring inside the device, and no electrician is required to power the unit from an existing PoE switch or NVR port.
When a licensed tradesperson is required. Concealed structured data cabling between the camera and the switch/recorder is customer cabling under AS/CA S009 and must be performed by an ACMA-registered cabler. Any new power outlets or premises wiring changes are the job of a licensed electrician under AS/NZS 3000.
Specifications in good faith. Specifications and firmware features can change at Hikvision’s discretion — verify the attached datasheet for your firmware revision before ordering, and confirm the lens option (2.8 mm / 4 mm) on your packing label.
