The Dahua DH-IPC-HDW3867EM-S-IL-ANZ is an 8MP fixed-focal eyeball for driveways, eaves and small commercial fronts that need true 4K, Smart Dual Light to 30 m, and WizSense AI that prefers people and vehicles over wind and wildlife.

At 8MP (3840×2160) with a metal IP67 eyeball body, this WizSense 3 turret keeps faces, clothing and plates readable when you zoom into playback — and sits cleanly under eaves where a large dome would dominate the elevation.

A 1/2.7″ CMOS sensor outputs max 3840×2160 with H.265 / AI coding options, 120 dB WDR and 3D NR so mixed daylight and shadow entries stay usable.

The common 2.8 mm F1.4 lens covers about 110° horizontally — a practical wide view for residential fronts and shop entrances.

Multi-core illuminators reach 30 m IR and 30 m warm light. Smart Dual Light keeps IR on for quiet night monitoring, then can bring warm light up when a target enters the area so the event is captured in colour.

When the target leaves, warm light turns off and IR resumes — less constant white-light pollution for neighbours.

SMD 4.0 classifies human and vehicle motion; perimeter IVS adds tripwire and intrusion with the same target types. AI SSA adapts image parameters to rain, fog and backlight.

Pair with a WizSense NVR for Quick Pick event search; AcuPick attribute search needs an NVR5-class recorder. Built-in mic and microSD to 512 GB cover audio and edge fallback.

Common questions

Is this a complete CCTV kit?

No. DH-IPC-HDW3867EM-S-IL-ANZ is a single IP turret camera. You still need a PoE switch or 12 VDC supply, Cat 5e/6 cabling, and usually a Dahua (or ONVIF) NVR for multi-camera recording and search.

What does Smart Dual Light do?

At night the camera normally runs IR. When a target enters the monitored area, warm white light can switch on so the event is recorded in full colour, then IR resumes when the target leaves — reducing constant white-light spill.

Does it support AcuPick?

The camera is AcuPick-capable, but AcuPick attribute search needs a Dahua NVR5-series (or higher) AI recorder. On a WizSense NVR4-class recorder you still get SMD alerts and Quick Pick people/vehicle event search — upgrade the NVR later without changing the camera.

How is it powered?

Use IEEE 802.3af PoE on the RJ45 port, or a local 12 VDC adapter. Datasheet max draw is 9.5 W on PoE with H.265, WDR, warm light and intelligence on. Dual-power backup is supported if both PoE and 12 V are present.

Which lens is on this ANZ SKU?

The ANZ listing is the fixed-focal WizSense turret; the common stocked option is 2.8 mm (F1.4) with ~110° horizontal FOV. A 3.6 mm FOV option is listed on the datasheet — confirm the lens code on your carton if a project needs the narrower view.

Installation & safety notice

Low-voltage IP camera (SELV). The DH-IPC-HDW3867EM-S-IL-ANZ is powered by IEEE 802.3af PoE or a plug-in 12 VDC supply — there is no 240 V wiring inside the camera. A standard plug-pack into an existing GPO is fine when PoE is not used.

When a licensed tradesperson is required. Concealed structured data cabling is customer cabling under AS/CA S009 and must be performed by an ACMA-registered cabler. Security system design, NVR commissioning and any electric locking are separate electrical/security works and may require a licensed security installer or electrician.
