Dual wattage (12 W / 20 W) and tri-CCT let you match lux and white point on site. IP65 construction, clip-in diffuser and 420 mm fixing centres keep installs fast on concrete soffits and metal tray. The EM-S variant adds maintained emergency lighting plus microwave presence sensing for corridors and car parks.

Clarity · 01
Dual wattage. Tri-colour on the tray.
Set 12 W or 20 W on the driver DIPs and 3000 K / 4000 K / 5700 K on the gear-tray CCT switch — no SKU swap when the lux target or finish schedule changes.
Same HAWK wide-body opal diffuser language as the rest of the Rapid LED weatherproof batten range.

Clarity · 02
IP65 body. Clip-in diffuser.
Clip-retained opal diffuser and gasketed base keep dust and water out when glands and cable entry are done to the Rapid LED instructions.
Push the base into the stainless clips at 420 mm centres, or hang with optional hooks for suspended runs.

Clarity · 03
Emergency ready. Sensor dimming.
3-hour maintained emergency keeps safe egress lighting when the local circuit fails. Wire switched live for normal control and unswitched live for charging.
The microwave sensor adds corridor / 3-step dimming — detection area, hold time, daylight threshold and stand-by level are DIP-set on the sensor module.
How it works
Four steps to a compliant install
01
Isolate mains. Fix stainless clips at 420 mm centres (or prepare suspension hooks).
02
Enter cable via CTS gland / 20 mm entry. Keep IP65 integrity on the entry.
03
Set CCT and wattage DIPs. Connect Ls / L1 / E / N for emergency; reconnect battery lead.
04
Configure sensor DIPs, reseat diffuser on gasket, restore power and function-test emergency.

Pairings
Compatible hardware
Same HAWK family as the 1200 mm dual-wattage weatherproof battens (e.g. R3540-TRI on our catalogue). Match CCT/wattage strategy across a site for a consistent finish.
Emergency circuit design, battery discharge testing and AS/NZS 2293 project compliance remain the installing electrician / certifier’s responsibility.
FAQ
Common questions
What does the EM-S suffix mean on R3520-EM-S-TRI?
EM is the maintained emergency version (battery backup with switched and unswitched live). S adds the integrated microwave sensor with corridor / 3-step dimming. TRI means selectable 3000 K / 4000 K / 5700 K on the gear tray.
How long does the emergency battery run?
Rapid LED’s HAWK install instructions describe the emergency option as a 3-hour maintained emergency unit. Battery warranty on the Rapid LED sheet is 3 years replacement only within the overall 5-year product warranty structure.
Can I change wattage and colour temperature on site?
Yes. Select CCT with the DIP switch on the gear tray (3000 K / 4000 K / 5700 K). Select wattage with the DIP switches on the LED driver (12 W or 20 W for the R3520 family). Power must be isolated before opening the fitting.
Is this suitable for outdoor wet locations?
The fitting is rated IP65 when installed with correct glands and gasket seating per the manufacturer instructions. Cable entry must maintain IP65 (circular H05RN-F cable and CTS glands are recommended on the Rapid LED sheet). Always follow AS/NZS 3000 and the stamped install manual.
What else do I need for the emergency version?
Each emergency fitting needs a switched live (normal on/off) and an unswitched live (battery charging / sensor supply on power failure), plus earth and neutral. The battery lead is disconnected for transport — reconnect before commissioning. A licensed electrician must complete the install.
How does the microwave sensor corridor function work?
The sensor version includes a 3-step dimming microwave sensor. Detection area, hold time, daylight threshold, stand-by period and stand-by dim level are set by DIP switches on the sensor (see the tables in the stamped Rapid LED install manual).
