ThreeSixty FlatJET 56" (142cm) DC Ceiling Fan, black with five blades
ThreeSixty · FlatJET · 56"

Three, four or five blades.
Your choice on install day.

This is the ThreeSixty FlatJET 56". Every FlatJET ships with five aerodynamic polymer blades. Fit three for a clean modern look, or four or five for more air. 40 watts on high, 4 on low.

In one sentence: the ThreeSixty FlatJET 56" is a 142 cm (56") DC ceiling fan with 3, 4 or 5 polymer blades (5 supplied), a 6-speed remote and reverse mode, using 40W on high.

Everything to hang it. The wiring is by your electrician.

The fan arrives ready to assemble with its remote. All five blades are in the box, so you decide on 3, 4 or 5 at installation.

In the box
  • Fan motor with hanger bracket and terminal block
  • Ceiling canopy, dress ring and standard downrod
  • 5 polymer blades with screws and washers
  • Remote control with pre-paired receiver
  • Screw pack and owner’s manual
You also need
  • A licensed electrician
  • An earthed 240 V circuit with an all-pole isolation switch
  • A joist or batten that holds four times the fan’s weight
  • A longer downrod (90 or 180 cm) for high or raked ceilings, if needed

One fan, three looks.

The motor has hole patterns for 3, 4 and 5 blades, colour-coded in the manual. Three blades is the cleanest look; five moves the most air. You can change your mind later because all five blades are in the box.

Three blades gives the slimmest profile. Two spare blades stay in the box if you want more air later.

Five blades for hot climates and large rooms. Moulded polymer is quieter than metal and will not corrode.

How it goes in

From the ceiling to the first breeze.

01

Fix the hanger bracket

Screw it into a joist or batten that holds four times the fan’s weight. The terminal block is already on the bracket.

02

Assemble and hang

Fit the canopy and downrod, route the wires through, then seat the hanger ball in the bracket with the groove on the tab.

03

Wire the receiver

Active, neutral and earth to the terminal block, then plug the receiver into the fan. Isolate the power first — this is electrician’s work.

04

Blades and remote

Choose 3, 4 or 5 blades and fit them to the matching hole pattern, then test all 6 speeds and reverse on the remote.

Common questions

What size room suits the FlatJET 56"?

A 142 cm (56") fan for living rooms, open-plan areas, master bedrooms and medium alfresco spaces. With 5 blades fitted it moves the most air of the three options.

How much air does it move?

Up to 15,121 cubic metres an hour on high with 3 blades. ThreeSixty’s data sheet lists the 4 and 5 blade figures too; 5 blades moves the most air.

How much power does it use?

About 40W / 19W / 4W on high, mid and low. A DC motor uses far less power than an AC ceiling fan for the same airflow.

Is a remote control included?

Yes. The 6-speed remote also does reverse, natural wind mode and a fan-off timer.

Can I run it in reverse for winter?

Yes. Reverse is on the remote. On a low speed in reverse the fan pushes warm air down from the ceiling without a draught.

Can it go outside?

Yes, undercover — ThreeSixty rates the FlatJET for indoor and undercover outdoor use. They do not recommend it for harsh coastal environments.

Will it fit a raked ceiling?

It handles ceiling slopes up to 12° as standard. Steeper ceilings need ThreeSixty’s sloped-ceiling accessory — ask us and we will quote it with the fan.

What ceiling height do I need?

The lowest blade edge must be at least 2.1 m above the floor, so a standard 2.4 m ceiling is the practical minimum. Ceiling to bottom of the fan is about 30 cm. For high or raked ceilings, 90 cm and 180 cm downrods are available.

Can I add a light later?

The FlatJET is LED-light adaptable. If you want light from day one, choose the "with light" version: it has a 24W dimmable CCT LED light that runs from the same remote.

Do I need an electrician?

Yes. Ceiling fans are hard-wired. A licensed electrician must install it on an earthed circuit with an all-pole isolation switch, fixed to a structure that can hold four times the fan’s weight.

What is the warranty?

ThreeSixty gives a 3-year in-home warranty when the fan is installed by a licensed electrician to the owner’s manual. Contact us first and we will organise it.

Can I see the installation instructions first?

Yes. ThreeSixty’s FlatJET 56" data sheet is on the Attachments tab. Your electrician can check the hanger bracket, wiring and downrod before the day.

Installation and safety

Electrical. Hard-wired 230–240 VAC appliance that must be earthed. Install by a licensed electrician with an easily reached all-pole isolation switch.

Mounting. Fix to a structure that holds at least four times the fan’s weight, with the lowest blade edge at least 2.1 m above the floor. Stop the fan if it wobbles unusually and have it checked.

Figures. From ThreeSixty’s FlatJET data sheet and owner’s manual.
