The big-sensor colour turret.
4K on a 1/1.2" sensor, F1.0.
This is the Uniview IPC3638SE-ADF28K-WP-I1. Uniview’s top ColorHunter turret. A very large 1/1.2" sensor behind an F1.0 lens gives clean 4K colour down to 0.0003 lux, at 30 fps, with 130 dB WDR, smart classification and people counting in an IK10 body.
In one sentence: the IPC3638SE-ADF28K-WP-I1 is an 8MP (3840 × 2160) ColorHunter turret with a 1/1.2" sensor, 2.8 mm F1.0 lens, 105° view, 130 dB WDR, 30 m warm light, people and vehicle classification, people counting, audio and alarm I/O, IK10 and IP67, powered by PoE.
One camera, one Cat6 cable.
Video and power share a single Cat6 run from a PoE recorder or switch. Mounts and a memory card are optional.
- IPC3638SE-ADF28K-WP-I1 camera
- Fixing screws and drill template
- Quick guide
- A PoE NVR or switch (802.3af), or a 12 V DC supply
- Cat6 cable to the camera
- A microSD card up to 512GB, to record on the camera
- TR-JB03-H-IN junction box or TR-WM03-B-IN wall mount, if needed
For sites where night footage has to stand up.
Most turrets use a 1/2.8" sensor; this one is several times larger, so night video stays bright, sharp and in colour. 4K at 30 fps, 130 dB WDR for bright entries, audio and alarm connections and an IK10 metal body make it a fit for commercial sites.

Design
A large lens over a warm light.
The F1.0 lens in front of a 1/1.2" sensor sits above the 30 m warm light, which only needs to come on in near-total darkness.

Aiming
Aimed after it is fixed.
The eyeball sits in a ball joint in the base, so you fix the base first and then turn the lens to the view, on a ceiling, wall or eave.

Size
Ø129 × 110 mm, 0.69 kg.
The Uniview drawing shows the camera from the front and side, and the base with its fixing holes. Mark the holes with the drill template in the box.
How it goes in
From the box to recording.
01
Pick the spot
High enough to be out of easy reach, close enough to see faces, with a route for one Cat6 cable. Under an eave keeps sun and rain off the lens.
02
Fix the base
Screw the base to the ceiling, eave or wall, or onto a TR-JB03-H-IN junction box so the cable joint is enclosed.
03
Plug it in
Run Cat6 to a PoE port on the NVR or a PoE switch. The camera powers up from the cable.
04
Aim and add
Turn the eyeball to frame the view, then add it to the NVR or the Uniview app.

Model codes shortened from IPC…-ADF28K-WP(-I1). All five have a 2.8 mm F1.0 lens, colour down to 0.0003 lux with ColorHunter and Wise-ISP, a 30 m warm light, IP67 and PoE (802.3af) or 12 V DC. — means not listed or not rated. Figures from the Uniview datasheets.
Common questions
What resolution and frame rate does it record?
8MP 4K (3840 × 2160) at up to 30 fps.
Will trees and headlights set it off?
Much less often than plain motion detection. Smart intrusion prevention sorts what it sees into people, vehicles and bikes, and filters out most false alarms from leaves, birds and lights.
Can I connect a speaker or an alarm?
Yes. Besides the built-in mic it has one audio input and one audio output, for an external microphone or speaker with two-way audio, plus one alarm input and one alarm output for sensors, sirens or lights.
Is it vandal resistant?
It is rated IK10, the top of the impact scale for equipment housings, so it suits places within reach.
Does it really record in colour at night?
Yes. ColorHunter with Wise-ISP gathers enough light for a colour picture down to 0.0003 lux, so with a street light or porch light nearby it stays in colour. In full darkness the built-in warm light (up to 30 m) fills in; it can switch on automatically or be set manually.
How wide does it see?
The 2.8 mm lens covers 105.0° across, 56.1° high. Uniview rates it to identify a person at 4.3 m and recognise someone known at 8.7 m, with detection out to 43.4 m.
Which mount do I need?
It screws straight to a ceiling or eave. Add the TR-JB03-H-IN junction box where there is no cavity behind to hide the cable joint, or use the TR-WM03-B-IN wall mount to hold it out from a wall. The TR-JB07/WM03-F-IN combines a wall mount with a junction box.
Can it go outside?
Yes. It is rated IP67 against dust and water and IK10 against impact, and works from −40 °C to 60 °C. Mount it under an eave where you can, to keep rain and direct sun off the lens.
Will it work with my recorder?
Uniview NVRs find it on their PoE ports and add it automatically, with the smart events. Other recorders that support ONVIF (Profile S, G, T or M) can add it too, although the smart events may only come through on a Uniview NVR.
Can I watch it on my phone?
Yes. Watch it through a Uniview NVR in the Uniview mobile app, or add the camera to the app on its own. Live view in a web browser works without a plug-in in current Chrome, Firefox and Edge.
How is it powered?
By PoE (IEEE 802.3af) over the same Cat6 cable as the video, from a PoE NVR or switch. Without PoE it runs on a 12 V DC supply. It draws 6.0 W at most.
What is the warranty?
Uniview 3-year manufacturer warranty, handled in Australia through InFront. Contact us first and we will organise any claim.
Supported by Infront Technologies.

Installation and safety
Power. Use an 802.3af PoE port or a regulated 12 V DC supply. The camera draws 6.0 W at most.
Weather. Rated IP67, IK10, NEMA 4X. Seal the cable joint, ideally inside a junction box, and point cable entries downwards.
