    A 1/2.4" CMOS behind F1.0 fixed optics delivers 3200 × 1800 at up to 25 fps with usable colour down to 0.001 lux @ F1.0 (AGC on), then clean Smart IR out to 30 m at 850 nm.

    120 dB True WDR, 3D DNR, BLC and HLC keep mixed-light doorways and driveway scenes legible without smearing.

    Deep-learning AcuSense classifies humans and vehicles before events reach your NVR. Line crossing, intrusion, region entrance and region exit all honour target-type filters.

    Frequently asked questions

    Does this camera have two-way audio or a built-in speaker?

    No. The DS-2CD2366G2H-IU (-U suffix) has a built-in microphone for one-way audio capture to your NVR or VMS. There is no built-in speaker and no audio line-out on this SKU. If you need two-way talk, choose a model with speaker hardware or add a compatible external IP speaker.

    What is the difference between G2H and the older G2 F1.0 turret?

    The G2H revision is Hikvision’s Powered-by-DarkFighter line with F1.0 optics for stronger low-light colour performance (0.001 lux @ F1.0 on this datasheet). Earlier G2 turrets used different sensor and lens combinations. This SKU is the 6 MP G2H family with AcuSense and a built-in mic.

    Can I use this camera without an NVR?

    The camera operates standalone on the network for live view and configuration, but continuous recording requires a recorder — a PoE NVR, compatible VMS, NAS target, or a microSD card (up to 512 GB) for edge storage. Most professional installs pair it with a PoE NVR.

    Which lens does this listing cover — 2.8 mm or 4 mm?

    Hikvision lists 2.8 mm and 4 mm as optional fixed lenses on the DS-2CD2366G2H-I(U) family datasheet. Confirm the exact focal length on your order confirmation and packing label before install — field of view and DORI distances differ between the two options.

    Will AcuSense work on a non-Hikvision NVR?

    Video streams over ONVIF Profile S/G/T and standard H.265/H.264 codecs work on most third-party NVRs. For full AcuSense event metadata and target filtering, a Hikvision AcuSense-capable NVR or iVMS-4200 / HikCentral is the most seamless path.

    How do I power it?

    Single-cable 802.3af PoE Class 3 (max 8 W per datasheet) is the professional default. Alternatively use 12 VDC (max 6.5 W) with a separate Ethernet data run.

    Installation & safety notice

    Low-voltage product (SELV). The DS-2CD2366G2H-IU is a 12 VDC / IEEE 802.3af PoE IP camera. There is no mains wiring inside the device. A standard plug-in 12 V DC adapter in an existing GPO is fine to use as-is, or the camera can be powered directly off a PoE switch or PoE NVR port — no electrician is required to power the unit.

    When a licensed tradesperson is required. Concealed structured data cabling between the camera, the PoE switch/NVR and any remote rack or ceiling run is customer cabling under AS/CA S009 and must be performed by an ACMA-registered cabler. New GPOs, rack mains or any modification to the premises wiring is the job of a licensed electrician under AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules.
