This is the NVR64PRO-I4. Two USB ports on the face, eight drive bays, 2U. This page is the 64-channel recorder, not the shorter 32-channel chassis.
In one sentence: the NVR64PRO-I4 is a VIP Vision 2U, 64-channel AI recorder with eight drive bays, RAID, and no built-in PoE.
Recorder only. Drives and camera power are separate.

Eight bays instead of four, RAID 0/1/5/6/10, and a 2U chassis. The 32-channel non-PoE model is 1.5U, 440 × 415.6 × 76 mm, four bays, no RAID.
On this recorder: AcuPick on 4 channels, face detection on 4 channels (up to 12 images/s each), SMD Plus on 16 channels, video metadata on 4 channels. Face recognition is 4 channels when the NVR detects and recognises, or 24 channels when the camera detects and the NVR recognises.

Rear
Two LAN ports. No PoE.
Two Gigabit sockets, eSATA, two HDMI, two USB 3.0, two VGA, one RCA audio in and two RCA outs, RS-232, RS-485 and RS-422. Alarm is 16 inputs and 8 outputs, one of them 12 V at 1 A. Mains is 100–240 VAC. Draw without drives is 13 W or less.

Common questions
Does this NVR power the cameras?
No. Two Gigabit LAN ports, no PoE. The cameras need a separate PoE switch.
Are the hard drives included?
No. Eight empty SATA bays, up to 20TB each, plus eSATA on the rear.
What changes when AI is switched on?
Bandwidth drops from 448 Mbps to 200 Mbps. Decode drops from 10 channels at 8MP to 8, and from 40 channels at 1080p to 32.
How many channels of face search run on the recorder?
Face detection on the NVR is 4 channels, up to 12 images/s per channel. Face recognition is 4 channels when the NVR does both jobs, or 24 channels when the camera detects the face and the NVR only recognises it.
Does this model include RAID?
Yes. RAID 0, 1, 5, 6 and 10. The 32-channel non-PoE model has four bays and no RAID.
What size is the chassis?
440 × 458.4 × 94.9 mm, 2U, 6.27 kg without drives. The 32-channel non-PoE chassis is 1.5U and 415.6 mm deep.
How many screens can I connect?
Two HDMI and two VGA. Live view is up to 64-way on the main screen and 16-way on the second. Playback is up to 16 channels.
What USB and alarm connections are on it?
Two USB 2.0 on the front and two USB 3.0 on the rear. Alarm is 16 inputs and 8 outputs, including one 12 V 1 A output. Serial ports are RS-232, RS-485 and RS-422.
Where does ANPR run?
On the cameras. Camera analytics, including ANPR, run on every channel. On the recorder, AcuPick and video metadata are 4 channels, and SMD Plus is 16.
What is the warranty in Australia?

Who can install the camera cabling?
Concealed cabling between the cameras and the PoE switch is customer cabling under AS/CA S009 and needs an ACMA-registered cabler. Plugging this recorder into an existing outlet is normal use.
