4K at full speed, in black.
A Prime turret for dark buildings.

This is the Uniview IPC3618SS-ADF28K-I1-BK. A black 8MP 4K Prime turret that records full resolution at 30 fps, with LightHunter low-light imaging, 130 dB WDR and 40 m infrared. Smart intrusion prevention sorts people, vehicles and bikes.

In one sentence: the IPC3618SS-ADF28K-I1-BK is a black 8MP (3840 × 2160) LightHunter turret recording at 30 fps, with a 2.8 mm F1.6 lens, 97.5° view, 40 m smart IR, people and vehicle classification, people counting, a built-in mic and IP67, powered by PoE.

One camera, one Cat6 cable.

Video and power share a single Cat6 run from a PoE recorder or switch. Mounts and a memory card are optional.

In the box
  • IPC3618SS-ADF28K-I1-BK camera
  • Fixing screws and drill template
  • Quick guide
You also need
  • A PoE NVR or switch (802.3af), or a 12 V DC supply
  • Cat6 cable to the camera
  • A microSD card up to 512GB, to record on the camera
  • TR-JB03-H-IN-BK junction box or TR-WM03-B-IN-BK wall mount, if needed

Low-key on dark buildings.

The black housing blends into dark eaves, cladding and shopfronts. Inside it is the same camera as the white model: 4K at 30 fps, 130 dB WDR, LightHunter colour to 0.002 lux and 40 m smart IR. Uniview only publishes photos of the white version; this listing is the black model.

Design

Lens and IR, no dome.

The lens and the 40 m IR sit in the eyeball with no glass dome in front, so there is no IR reflection at night.

Aiming

Aimed after it is fixed.

The eyeball pans, tilts (0–70°) and rotates in its base, so you fix the base first and then frame the view. Photo shows the white version; this listing is black.

The Uniview drawing shows the camera from the front and side, and the base with its fixing holes. Mark the holes with the drill template in the box.

How it goes in

From the box to recording.

01

Pick the spot

High enough to be out of easy reach, close enough to see faces, with a route for one Cat6 cable. Under an eave keeps sun and rain off the lens.

02

Fix the base

Screw the base to the ceiling, eave or wall, or onto a TR-JB03-H-IN-BK junction box so the cable joint is enclosed.

03

Plug it in

Run Cat6 to a PoE port on the NVR or a PoE switch. The camera powers up from the cable.

04

Aim and add

Turn the eyeball to frame the view, then add it to the NVR or the Uniview app, then draw the lines and zones for alerts.

Pair it with

What goes with it

Recorder

Uniview PoE NVR

Powers the camera over one Cat6 cable, adds it automatically and records the smart events.

Mounting

TR-JB03-H-IN-BK junction box

Encloses the cable joint behind the camera in black on brick, render or a soffit with no cavity.

Walls

TR-WM03-B-IN-BK wall mount

Holds the camera out from the wall in black so it can look along the building.

Cabling

Cat6 cable

Solid copper Cat6 for PoE runs of up to 100 m from the switch or NVR.

Shop entries

Car parks

Loading docks

Smooth 30 fps 4K of trucks and goods.

Receptions

Object left or removed alerts.

Common questions

What resolution and frame rate does it record?

8MP 4K (3840 × 2160) at up to 30 fps, so movement stays smooth even at full resolution.

What is LightHunter?

Uniview’s low-light imaging. It keeps the picture in colour and low in noise in very dim light (down to 0.002 lux), before the camera needs to switch to infrared.

Will trees and headlights set it off?

Much less often than plain motion detection. Smart intrusion prevention sorts what it sees into people, vehicles and bikes, and filters out most false alarms from leaves, birds and lights.

What else can it detect?

It counts people and alerts on crowd density, and can flag objects left behind or removed from a scene, as well as motion, tampering and loud sounds.

How far does it see at night?

Up to 40 m in black and white with infrared. Smart IR turns the IR down on close objects so faces are not washed out white. In dim light before the IR is needed it stays in colour down to 0.002 lux.

How wide does it see?

The 2.8 mm lens covers 97.49° across, 52.31° high. Uniview rates it to identify a person at 8.7 m and recognise someone known at 17.4 m, with detection out to 86.9 m.

Which mount do I need?

It screws straight to a ceiling or eave. Add the TR-JB03-H-IN-BK junction box where there is no cavity behind to hide the cable joint, or use the TR-WM03-B-IN-BK wall mount to hold it out from a wall. The TR-JB07/WM03-F-IN-V2-BK combines a wall mount with a junction box.

Can it go outside?

Yes. It is rated IP67 against dust and water, and works from −30 °C to 60 °C. Mount it under an eave where you can, to keep rain and direct sun off the lens.

Will it work with my recorder?

Uniview NVRs find it on their PoE ports and add it automatically, with the smart events. Other recorders that support ONVIF (Profile S, G, T or M) can add it too, although the smart events may only come through on a Uniview NVR.

Can I watch it on my phone?

Yes. Watch it through a Uniview NVR in the Uniview mobile app, or add the camera to the app on its own. Live view in a web browser works without a plug-in in current Chrome, Firefox and Edge.

How is it powered?

By PoE (IEEE 802.3af) over the same Cat6 cable as the video, from a PoE NVR or switch. Without PoE it runs on a 12 V DC supply. It draws 7.0 W at most.

What is the warranty?

Uniview 3-year manufacturer warranty, handled in Australia through InFront. Contact us first and we will organise any claim.

Supported by Infront Technologies.

Installation and safety

Power. Use an 802.3af PoE port or a regulated 12 V DC supply. The camera draws 7.0 W at most.

Weather. Rated IP67. Seal the cable joint, ideally inside a junction box, and point cable entries downwards.
