Colour at night, when it counts.
Infrared and warm light in one turret.

This is the Uniview IPC3616LE-ADF28KM-DL. A 6MP turret with two kinds of night light: infrared for discreet black-and-white video and a warm white light for colour. Both reach 30 m, and smart illumination can bring the warm light on when it is needed.

In one sentence: the IPC3616LE-ADF28KM-DL is a 6MP (3200 × 1800) dual-light turret with a 2.8 mm F1.6 lens, 102.7° view, 30 m IR plus 30 m warm light, people detection, a built-in mic and IP67, powered by PoE.

One camera, one Cat6 cable.

Video and power share a single Cat6 run from a PoE recorder or switch. Mounts and a memory card are optional.

In the box
  • IPC3616LE-ADF28KM-DL camera
  • Fixing screws and drill template
  • Quick guide
You also need
  • A PoE NVR or switch (802.3af), or a 12 V DC supply
  • Cat6 cable to the camera
  • A microSD card up to 512GB, to record on the camera
  • TR-JB03-G-IN junction box or TR-WM03-D-IN wall mount, if needed

See the colour of the car and the jacket.

Black-and-white night video hides details that matter later, like the colour of a car or clothing. With the warm light on, this camera records those in colour; with IR it stays discreet. Person-only line and zone alerts keep notifications to people, not leaves.

Design

Two lights under the lens.

The lens sits above a pair of lights: infrared for black-and-white night video and warm white light for colour, each reaching 30 m.

Aiming

Aimed after it is fixed.

The eyeball sits in a ball joint in the base, so you fix the base first and then turn the lens to the view, on a ceiling, wall or eave.

Ø110.5 × 98 mm, 0.46 kg.

The Uniview drawing shows the camera from the front and side, and the base with its fixing holes. Mark the holes with the drill template in the box.

How it goes in

From the box to recording.

01

Pick the spot

High enough to be out of easy reach, close enough to see faces, with a route for one Cat6 cable. Under an eave keeps sun and rain off the lens.

02

Fix the base

Screw the base to the ceiling, eave or wall, or onto a TR-JB03-G-IN junction box so the cable joint is enclosed.

03

Plug it in

Run Cat6 to a PoE port on the NVR or a PoE switch. The camera powers up from the cable.

04

Aim and add

Turn the eyeball to frame the view, then add it to the NVR or the Uniview app.

Pair it with

What goes with it

Recorder

Uniview PoE NVR

Powers the camera over one Cat6 cable, adds it automatically and records the smart events.

Mounting

TR-JB03-G-IN junction box

Encloses the cable joint behind the camera on brick, render or a soffit with no cavity.

Walls

TR-WM03-D-IN wall mount

Holds the camera out from the wall so it can look along the building.

Cabling

Cat6 cable

Solid copper Cat6 for PoE runs of up to 100 m from the switch or NVR.

Where it is used

Where the dual-light turret fits

Driveways

Car colour and plates near the camera, at night.

Front entries

Faces in colour under the warm light.

Back yards

IR by default, colour when someone is there.

Small car parks

Wide 103° view across the bays.

Common questions

What resolution and frame rate does it record?

6MP (3200 × 1800) at up to 25 fps.

What sets off an alert?

Draw a line or a zone and it alerts only when a person crosses or enters it. Ultra motion detection can also pick out people and vehicles, and tampering and loud-sound detection are there too.

Will the warm light annoy the neighbours?

You choose. Leave it on IR for discreet black-and-white video, or let the warm light come on only when needed. Aim it at your own property rather than across the street.

Does it record sound?

Yes. It has a built-in microphone. Check the privacy rules in your state before recording conversations.

What does dual light mean?

It has two kinds of light: infrared for black-and-white night video, and a warm white light for colour video at night, each reaching 30 m. The lights switch automatically or can be set manually, so you choose between discreet IR and full colour.

How wide does it see?

The 2.8 mm lens covers 102.73° across, 53.95° high. Uniview rates it to identify a person at 6.3 m and recognise someone known at 12.6 m, with detection out to 63.1 m.

Which mount do I need?

It screws straight to a ceiling or eave. Add the TR-JB03-G-IN junction box where there is no cavity behind to hide the cable joint, or use the TR-WM03-D-IN wall mount to hold it out from a wall. The TR-JB07/WM03-G-IN combines a wall mount with a junction box.

Can it go outside?

Yes. It is rated IP67 against dust and water, and works from −30 °C to 60 °C. Mount it under an eave where you can, to keep rain and direct sun off the lens.

Will it work with my recorder?

Uniview NVRs find it on their PoE ports and add it automatically, with the smart events. Other recorders that support ONVIF (Profile S, G or T) can add it too, although the smart events may only come through on a Uniview NVR.

Can I watch it on my phone?

Yes. Watch it through a Uniview NVR in the Uniview mobile app, or add the camera to the app on its own. Live view in a web browser works without a plug-in in current Chrome, Firefox and Edge.

How is it powered?

By PoE (IEEE 802.3af) over the same Cat6 cable as the video, from a PoE NVR or switch. Without PoE it runs on a 12 V DC supply. It draws 5.1 W at most.

What is the warranty?

Uniview 3-year manufacturer warranty, handled in Australia through InFront. Contact us first and we will organise any claim.

Supported by Infront Technologies.

Installation and safety

Power. Use an 802.3af PoE port or a regulated 12 V DC supply. The camera draws 5.1 W at most.

Weather. Rated IP67. Seal the cable joint, ideally inside a junction box, and point cable entries downwards.
