Wall to wall,
from one 8MP turret.

This is the Uniview IPC3608SB-ADF16KM-I0. An 8MP 4K turret with a 1.68 mm lens that sees 180° across, so one camera on the middle of a wall covers the whole yard, shop floor or car park in front of it. Smart IR reaches 20 m in the dark.

In one sentence: the IPC3608SB-ADF16KM-I0 is an 8MP (3840 × 2160) OmniView turret with a 1.68 mm F2.0 lens, 180° horizontal and 100° vertical view, 20 m Smart IR, smart intrusion prevention, a built-in mic, IP67 and IK10, powered by PoE.

One camera, one Cat6 cable.

Video and power share a single Cat6 run from a PoE recorder or switch. A junction box or wall mount is only needed if the site calls for it.

In the box
  • IPC3608SB-ADF16KM-I0 camera
  • Mounting screws and accessories
  • Quick guide
You also need
  • A PoE NVR or switch (802.3af), or a 12 V DC supply
  • Cat6 cable to the camera
  • A microSD card up to 512GB, to record on the camera
  • TR-JB03-G-IN junction box or TR-WM03-D-IN wall mount, if needed

One camera where you would have needed two.

Mounted in the middle of a wall, a normal 2.8 mm camera sees about 100° and leaves the corners blind. The 1.68 mm lens on this turret takes in 180° across and 100° high at 4K, and the camera can straighten the picture on board, with nine levels of correction to choose from.

Design

A turret with a very wide eye.

The short 1.68 mm lens sits in a standard eyeball turret. The base turns 360°, tilts 0–75° and rotates 360°, so it can be levelled on a wall or ceiling.

Uniview IPC3608SB-ADF16KM-I0 8MP 180° panoramic turret camera, side view

Coverage

180° across, 100° high.

Uniview rates it to identify a person at 3.8 m and recognise someone known at 7.6 m, with detection out to 37.8 m. It is made for seeing everything in an area rather than faces far away.

Dimensions

Ø111 × 93 mm, 0.48 kg.

A metal turret rated IP67 and IK10, working from −30 °C to 60 °C.

How it goes in

From the box to recording.

01

Pick the spot

The middle of the wall that faces the area, 2.5–3.5 m up. A 180° camera works best looking straight out, not from a corner.

02

Fix the camera

Screw the base to the wall or eave, or onto a TR-JB03-G-IN junction box so the cable joint is enclosed.

03

Plug it in

Run Cat6 to a PoE port on the NVR or a PoE switch. The camera powers up from the cable.

04

Aim and add

Level the turret so the horizon sits straight, choose the correction level, then add it to the NVR or the Uniview EZView app.

Pair it with

What goes with it

Recorder

Uniview PoE NVR

Uniview recorders add the camera over one Cat6 cable, bring in its smart events and keep weeks of footage on their hard drives.

Mounting

TR-JB03-G-IN junction box

Listed by Uniview for this camera. Encloses the cable joint behind the turret on brick, render or a soffit with no cavity.

Walls

TR-WM03-D-IN wall mount

Listed by Uniview for this camera. Holds the turret out from the wall.

Cabling

Cat6 cable

Solid copper Cat6 for PoE runs up to 100 m from the switch or recorder.

Common questions

Does the picture look like a fisheye?

Less so. The camera corrects the image on board, with nine levels to choose from, so straight lines near the edges look straighter. At the strongest settings the far edges are stretched a little; pick the level that suits the scene.

Can it see faces at the far side?

It is built for coverage, not long-range faces. Uniview rates it to identify a person at 3.8 m and recognise someone known at 7.6 m. Add a standard camera at a door or gate where you need faces further out.

How far does it see at night?

Up to 20 m with Smart IR (850 nm). Smart IR turns the IR down on close objects so faces are not washed out.

Will cats and trees set it off?

Much less often than plain motion detection. Smart intrusion prevention sorts people, vehicles and non-motor vehicles such as bikes, so alarms come from the targets you choose.

Does it record sound?

Yes, it has a built-in microphone. It has no speaker and no two-way audio.

Will one 180° camera replace two normal cameras?

Often, yes. Mounted in the middle of a wall it covers from one side of the area to the other, where a standard 2.8 mm camera sees about 100°. That means one cable, one licence on the recorder and no blind spot between two cameras. For faces at a distance, a second camera aimed at the door is still worth adding.

Will it work with my recorder?

Uniview NVRs find it on their PoE ports and add it automatically, along with its smart events. Other recorders that support ONVIF (Profile S, G, T, M) can add it too, although smart events and the special views may only come through fully on Uniview.

Can I watch it on my phone?

Yes. Watch it through your Uniview NVR in the Uniview EZView app, or add the camera to the app on its own. Live view also works in a web browser.

Can it record without an NVR?

Yes. Fit a microSD card of up to 512GB and it records on the camera itself. With an NVR, the card also covers network drop-outs: ANR sends the missed footage to the recorder when the link returns.

How is it powered?

By PoE (IEEE 802.3af) over the same Cat6 cable as the video, from a PoE NVR or switch. Without PoE, it runs on a 12 V DC supply. It draws 5.5 W at most.

What is Ultra 265?

Uniview’s video compression. It keeps the same picture as H.265 in less space, so the recorder holds more days of footage. H.265, H.264 and MJPEG are there too.

What is the warranty?

Uniview 3-year manufacturer warranty, handled in Australia through InFront. Contact us first and we will organise any claim.

Supported by Infront Technologies.

Installation and safety

Power. Use a PoE (802.3af) port or a regulated 12 V DC supply. Keep cable joints dry inside a junction box or sealed with tape.

Weather. IP67 and IK10, rated from −30 °C to 60 °C. An eave keeps direct sun and rain off the lens.
