Four 8MP 4K motorised zoom turrets.
Zoom and focus from your phone.
VIP Vision 8400 Series kit. Four 8MP 4K motorised zoom turrets on the NVR8PRO-I 8-channel PoE recorder with a 2TB drive fitted. AI picks out people and vehicles, so alerts on your phone are for real events, not swaying trees. The motorised lenses zoom and focus from the app.
In one sentence: the NKPRO-88404D is a VIP Vision Professional AI NVR8PRO-I 8-channel PoE recorder with a 2TB surveillance drive and four VSIPP-8DIRMG-I3 8MP 4K motorised zoom turrets, with Cat5e cables included.
Everything to record 4 cameras, with the 2TB drive already fitted.
Every camera plugs straight into the recorder’s PoE ports with the cables in the box. Add a screen and an internet connection and you are recording.
In the box
- 1 × VIP Vision Professional AI NVR8PRO-I 8-channel PoE recorder with 2TB surveillance drive fitted
- 4 × VIP Vision VSIPP-8DIRMG-I3 8MP 4K motorised zoom turret
- 2 × 20 m and 2 × 30 m Cat5e network cables
- Recorder power cable, HDMI cable, 1 m network cable and USB mouse
- Screws, plugs and a mounting template for each camera
- Quick start guides
You also need
- A monitor or TV with HDMI or VGA
- Your router and internet connection, for the phone app
- Longer Cat5e or Cat6 runs if a camera is more than 30 m away (up to 100 m)
- Optional junction boxes for a neat, sealed cable entry
Frame every camera exactly right.
Motorised lenses zoom from a wide view to a close-up from the app, so a camera on the eaves can still read a face at the gate. No ladder, no guesswork.
The recorder
NVR8PRO-I: 8 channels, 8 PoE ports, 72 W.
Each camera takes power and video from one network cable plugged into the back. The recorder handles up to 256Mbps (180Mbps with AI on), records up to 16MP, shows 4K on HDMI and has 2 drive bays of up to 16TB each. The 2TB drive is fitted, and the other bay is free for more storage. Four channels are left for more cameras.
Four in the kit
VSIPP-8DIRMG-I3: zoom and focus from your phone.
A 2.7–13.5 mm motorised lens goes from a 114° wide view to a 32° close-up, set from the app or the recorder with no ladder. It records 8MP 4K at 25 fps, has 50 m infrared and four warm white lights for colour at night, a built-in mic, microSD up to 512GB and an IP67 metal housing. Zoomed in, it identifies a face at about 28 m.
How it goes in
From the box to recording.
01
Plan the positions
Mount the cameras about 2.4–3 m high, under eaves where you can. Aim them at doors, gates and paths rather than open sky.
02
Run the cables
Run one network cable from each camera back to the recorder. The kit includes 2 × 20 m and 2 × 30 m Cat5e network cables; PoE works on runs up to 100 m.
03
Connect the recorder
Plug the cameras into the PoE ports, the screen into HDMI or VGA and the network port into your router, then power on and follow the startup wizard.
04
Set the app and zones
Scan the recorder’s QR code with the DMSS app, then draw tripwire lines or zones so alerts only fire for people and vehicles.

Common questions
What is the VSIPP-8DIRMG-I3 best at?
The VSIPP-8DIRMG-I3 is an 8MP turret with a motorised 2.7–13.5 mm zoom, best for gates, driveways and car parks further away. It identifies a face at about 8 m wide, 28 m zoomed and detects a person out to 85 m wide, 280 m zoomed.
Is the hard drive included?
Yes. A 2TB surveillance drive is fitted in the recorder. There is a second bay, and each bay takes a drive of up to 16TB.
How many days will it record?
As a rough guide, about 11 to 16 days with all 4 cameras recording around the clock on H.265 on the 2TB drive. Recording on events, or adding a bigger drive, stretches that a long way.
Are the cables included?
Yes: 2 × 20 m and 2 × 30 m Cat5e network cables, plus a 1 m cable for your router. For a camera further away, use a longer Cat5e or Cat6 run of up to 100 m.
Do the cameras need power points?
No. The recorder powers the cameras through the network cable (PoE), so the only power point needed is at the recorder.
Will the cameras see in colour at night?
Yes, using their warm white lights for colour, or infrared for black and white if you prefer the lights off.
Do the cameras record sound?
Yes. Each camera has a built-in microphone, recorded with the video. Recording conversations is covered by state surveillance laws, so check before turning it on.
Can I add more cameras later?
Yes. Four channels are free on the NVR8PRO-I, with 4 PoE ports to match. VIP Vision Professional AI cameras plug straight in.
Can I watch it on my phone?
Yes. Connect the recorder to your router and scan its QR code in the free DMSS app for live view, playback and alerts on iPhone and Android.
How far do they see at night?
Infrared reaches 50 m in black and white, and the warm white lights give colour closer in.
Can I install it myself?
Many customers do, because each camera needs one cable and the recorder finds it automatically. In Australia, cable run inside walls and ceilings should be installed by a registered cabler.
What is the warranty?
4 years, supported in Australia by Infront Technologies. Contact us first and we will organise any claim.

Installation and safety
Power. Use the power cable supplied with the recorder (100–240 V AC). Power off before fitting or removing a hard drive.
Placement. Keep the recorder indoors between −10 °C and 55 °C with space around its vents, somewhere secure. The cameras are rated IP67 for outdoor use.
Cabling. Fixed cable inside walls and ceilings must be installed by a registered cabler to the Australian wiring rules.
Privacy. Aim cameras at your own property. Recording audio and filming neighbours or public areas are covered by state surveillance laws.
