Akuvox R20 series on-wall cover plate is a silver 310 × 225 mm plate that goes on the wall behind an R20A, R20K or R20B door phone. The plate screws to the wall, the door phone's own bracket screws onto the plate, and cables come through the 105 × 51 mm opening in the centre.

The AK-R20INWALLP is the Akuvox on-wall cover plate for the R20 series. The 310 × 225 mm silver plate screws to the wall first, then the wall-mounting bracket from the door phone's box fixes onto it, so the station sits on a large silver backing.

You get the cover plate with screws for the wall and for the bracket. The door phone and its wall-mounting bracket are separate; the bracket comes with the R20A, R20K or R20B.

More wall covered than the door phone alone.

At 310 × 225 mm, the plate covers far more of the wall than the door phone itself, which helps where old fixing holes or a larger opening need to be hidden behind the new station.

The plate

Silver, 1 mm thick.

The plate is 310 mm tall and 225 mm wide, with a 105 × 51 mm opening in the centre for the cables.

Around the opening are the screw positions for the R20A bracket and for the R20K / R20B bracket, plus four outer holes for fixing the plate to the wall.

How it works

Plate first, then the bracket.

Mark and drill

Hold the plate in position, mark the centres of the four outermost holes, then drill them 6 mm wide and 25 mm deep and insert the wall anchors.

Fix the plate

Screw the cover plate to the wall with the four ST4×20 screws.

Fit the bracket

Screw the door phone's wall-mounting bracket onto the plate with the M3×4 screws: four for the R20K or R20B, three for the R20A. Finish with the door phone's on-wall guide.

Common questions

Which door phones does it fit?

The Akuvox R20A, R20K and R20B. The plate has screw positions for both the R20A bracket and the R20K / R20B bracket.

How big is it?

310 × 225 mm and 1.0 mm thick, with a 105 × 51 mm cable opening in the centre.

Is the door phone bracket included?

No. Use the wall-mounting bracket that comes in the door phone's accessory kit; it screws onto the plate with the M3×4 screws supplied here.

How is the plate fixed to the wall?

Through its four outermost holes: drill 6 mm holes 25 mm deep, insert the plastic wall anchors and fix the plate with the four ST4×20 screws.

What is in the box?

The cover plate, four ST4×20 crosshead screws, four plastic wall anchors and four M3×4 crosshead screws.

What colour is it?

Silver.
