The AK-S538ONWALLH is Akuvox’s rain cover for an S538 on the wall surface. The hood keeps water off the 8″ glass and shades the face-recognition cameras from overhead sun.

This SKU is the rain cover only.

You receive the black S538 on-wall rain cover. The S538 door phone and the S538 on-wall installation kit are sold separately.

Water on the glass and harsh overhead light both make face recognition and video harder outdoors. The hood takes care of both on an exposed wall.

Design

Hood and back plate in one.

A single black piece: a back plate with a cable cut-out and fixing holes, and a hood that wraps the top and sides of the S538.

The plate’s fixing holes (108.3 mm apart, 123.3 mm spacing) match the S538 on-wall box, which mounts through it.

Fit

For the S538 on the wall.

It measures 306.7 × 141.4 mm and projects 51.4 mm at the top, tapering to 30.8 mm at the bottom — enough to shelter the 29 mm-deep S538 on its 16.3 mm plate.

It is not for flush installs — a recessed S538 uses the in-wall rain cover.

Can I use it on a flush-mounted S538?

No. This is the on-wall cover. A recessed S538 uses the S538 in-wall rain cover.

Do I still need the on-wall kit?

Yes. The S538 hangs on the on-wall plate, which fixes to the wall through the hood’s back plate.

How far does it stick out?

51.4 mm at the top, tapering to 30.8 mm at the bottom.

Will it fit an S539 or S535?

No. It is sized to the S538 and its on-wall box. The S539 has its own on-wall rain hood.

Does it block the camera or screen?

No. The hood shelters the top and sides while the screen, cameras and card reader stay open at the front.

Is the door phone included?

No. This SKU is the rain cover only.

Protect exposed S538 installs.

Fit it wherever a surface-mounted S538 has no awning. Recessed S538 units use the S538 in-wall rain cover instead.
