Akuvox R20A thick on-wall mounting box in black is a 143 × 84 × 22 mm box the R20A door phone mounts onto, so the station stands off the wall on a solid black base instead of sitting on the flat bracket alone.

The AK-R20ONWALLBT is the thick version of the Akuvox R20A on-wall mounting box. It sits between the wall and the door phone, matching the R20A's footprint at 143 × 84 mm and adding 22 mm of depth behind the station.

Mounting box only.

This is the box on its own. The R20A door phone, its wall bracket and fixings, and any rain hood are separate items.

The box gives the R20A a 22 mm deep black base on the wall, with a large opening in the back for the cable entry.

The box

Sized to the R20A.

At 143 × 84 mm the box matches the outline of the R20A door phone, so it reads as part of the station once it is mounted.

Keyhole slots for the wall screws, a large opening in the back for the cables, and tabs at the base.

How it works

Box first, then the door phone.

Plan the height

Akuvox's placement drawing puts the camera centre 1500 mm above the ground, with the bottom of the panel at 1375 mm.

Fix the box

Bring the cables through the rear opening and screw the box to the wall through its keyhole slots.

Mount the R20A

Connect the door phone and mount it onto the box, following the R20A on-wall guide.

The Akuvox R20A. The Akuvox drawing for this box names the R20A as the applicable model.

How big is it?

143 × 84 × 22 mm (H × W × D), or 31 mm deep measured at the fixing tabs on the base.

How do the cables get in?

Through a large opening in the back of the box, so cables can come straight out of the wall behind the door phone.

How high should it go?

Is the door phone included?

No. This is the mounting box only; the R20A door phone is a separate item.
