Akuvox AK-S535ONWALLT is the thick version of the S535 on-wall box. It has the same 209.5 × 99.5 mm outline, hooks and centre cable opening as the standard box, but is 34 mm deep instead of 15 mm and adds a 25 mm round cable entry in the base, so cable can come up from below the door phone instead of only through the wall behind it. For an S535 with no module fitted.

The AK-S535ONWALLT is Akuvox’s thick on-wall mounting box for the S535. It holds the station exactly like the standard box — hooks at the top, Torx screw at the bottom — but stands it further off the wall and adds a cable entry in the base.

This SKU is the thick on-wall box, standard length.

You receive the black S535 thick on-wall mounting box. The S535 door phone is sold separately.

The 34 mm box leaves room behind the S535 for cable and connections, and the entry in the base suits walls where the cable runs up the surface or in conduit rather than coming out of the wall behind the door phone.

Design

Deeper box, extra cable entry.

Same 209.5 × 99.5 mm outline, two square hooks, centre cable opening and bottom screw tab as the standard S535 on-wall box, but 34 mm deep instead of 15 mm.

A 25 mm round entry in the base lets cable come up from below — from a surface run or conduit — where it can’t come through the wall behind the door phone.

Fit

For the S535 on its own.

Sized for the 210 × 100 × 27 mm S535 with no module. On this box the S535 face sits about 61 mm off the wall, against 42 mm on the standard box.

With a fingerprint, induction loop, LTE or QR scanner module fitted, the S535 is 260 mm tall and needs the 259.5 mm thick module box (AK-S535ONWALLMT).

Common questions

How is it different from the standard S535 on-wall box?

Depth and cable entry. Both are 209.5 × 99.5 mm with the same hooks; this box is 34 mm deep instead of 15 mm and adds a 25 mm cable entry in the base.

I am fitting a module. Is this the right box?

No. With a module the S535 is 260 mm tall; use the thick on-wall box for S535 with modules (AK-S535ONWALLMT), which is 259.5 mm long.

Can I add the S535 on-wall rain cover?

The on-wall rain cover projects 51.4 mm and is sized for the standard 15 mm box. On this box the S535 stands about 61 mm off the wall, so it is not designed for the thick box.

Does the S535 come with a mounting box?

No. Every S535 needs an on-wall or in-wall box, sold separately.

How high should it go?

Akuvox’s placement drawing puts the camera centre 1,500 mm above the ground, with the bottom of the panel about 1,308 mm up.

Is the door phone included?

No. This SKU is the mounting box only.

Choose this box for an S535 on its own when you need the bottom cable entry or the extra depth. The standard 15 mm box (AK-S535ONWALLK) keeps the S535 slimmer; with a module fitted, use the thick module box (AK-S535ONWALLMT).

Installation & safety notice

Fitting. Mount the box with the arrow on its back pointing up, and bring the cable in through the centre opening from the wall or through the 25 mm entry in the base. Hang the S535 on the two hooks and fasten its Torx screw at the bottom. Akuvox’s placement drawing puts the camera centre 1,500 mm above the ground.
