The AK-00568P11 is Akuvox’s on-wall installation kit for the A01, A02 and A03 access terminals. Akuvox designs these readers to sit on an 86 junction box — this black box mounts on the wall surface so you can fit a reader on brick, block or finished plasterboard without cutting in.

This SKU is the on-wall box only.

You receive the black on-wall mounting box. The A01, A02 or A03 reader is sold separately and comes with its own junction-box bracket, M4×30 screws and wall fixings.

Mount the reader where the cable is.

Retrofits and glass-line partitions rarely have an 86 box in the right place. Fix this box to the wall over the cable entry, then hang the A0X reader on it exactly as you would on a flush box.

Fit

Made for the 86 × 86 mm A0X readers.

The A01, A02 and A03 share one 86 × 86 × 33 mm body and are all designed to hang on an 86 junction box, flush or on the wall.

This box gives them that base on the wall surface, in black to match the reader.

Install

Same steps as a flush box.

Mark and drill four 6 mm holes 30 mm deep, fit the anchors and fix the box with ST4×20 screws, with the cable brought into the box.

Screw the reader’s bracket to the box with the M4×30 screws, wire the reader, then hang it on the bracket and lock it with the headless screw.

Which readers does it fit?

The Akuvox A01, A02 and A03 access control terminals, which share the same 86 × 86 mm body.

Do I need it if there is already an 86 box in the wall?

No. The readers mount straight onto an existing 86 flush box. Use this box when there isn’t one.

Is the reader included?

No. This SKU is the mounting box only; the reader is sold separately with its own bracket and screws.

Is it suitable for the A08 or A05?

No. The A08S and A05C have different bodies and their own mounting boxes.

Finish A0X installs cleanly, local stock.

Installation & safety notice

Fitting. Akuvox specifies the box be at least 1100 mm above the floor. Fix it with four ST4×20 screws and wall anchors, then fix the reader’s junction-box bracket to it with the two M4×30 screws — see the A01/A02/A03 quick guide.
