The AK-R20KBONH-BLACK is the Akuvox on-wall rain cover for the taller R20 housing — 185 × 84.5 mm — shared by the R20K keypad door phone, the R25K fisheye keypad model and the R20B with 2, 3, 4 or 5 call buttons.

Rain hood only.

You receive the black on-wall rain hood. The door phone is sold separately.

A clearer picture, rain or shine.

Water on the lens and harsh overhead sun are what spoil most door pictures. The hood deals with both and keeps the keypad and reader drier.

Protection

Rain runs off, not across the lens.

The canopy covers the top and both sides of the station, so rain sheds clear of the camera window, keypad and card-reader area.

It also cuts overhead sun on the camera, which helps on exposed north- and west-facing entries.

Fit

One hood for the whole 185 mm family.

R20K, R20K-L, R25K and every R20B button version share the same 185 × 84.5 × 24 mm housing, so one hood covers them all.

Sits behind a surface-mounted station: the hood goes on the wall with the door phone’s wall-mounting bracket, then the station hangs on the bracket as usual.

Common questions

Which door phones does it fit?

Akuvox R20K, R20K-L, R25K and R20B (2, 3, 4 or 5 buttons). It does not fit the shorter R20A / R25A, which have their own hoods.

On-wall or in-wall — which do I need?

On-wall for a surface-mounted station on its wall bracket; in-wall for a station recessed with the in-wall kit. This is the on-wall hood.

How big is it?

193 mm tall and 88 mm wide, standing 51 mm off the wall at the top and 29.5 mm at the bottom.

How is it fixed?

The hood goes on the wall first and the door phone’s standard wall-mounting bracket screws on through it, so the station hangs and locks as usual.

What is different about the silver version?

Only the finish (AK-R20KBONH).

Choose by install type and finish.

Pick black to match a black R20K or R25K; the silver version is AK-R20KBONH. For a flush install use AK-R20KBINH.
