Akuvox AK-E21INWALL is the in-wall box for the E21A and E21V vandal-resistant emergency intercoms. The E21 is a flush-mount panel; this box goes into a 190 × 100 × 60 mm cut-out and the 210 × 120 mm stainless faceplate fixes to it with four Torx screws.
The AK-E21INWALL is Akuvox’s in-wall mounting box for the E21 series. The E21A (audio) and E21V (with camera) are flush-mount only, so every E21 needs either this box or the E21 on-wall rain hood housing.

You receive the E21 in-wall mounting box. The E21A or E21V, which comes with its four M4×16 Torx screws and Torx wrench, is sold separately.
Car parks, stairwells, lift lobbies and station platforms: a flush E21 sits neatly in masonry or concrete with only the faceplate showing.
Fit
Both E21 models share a 210 × 120 × 45.6 mm stainless steel faceplate and are flush-mount only. This box takes the body of the unit; the faceplate covers the opening.
Knock out the cable entries you need for the network and lock cables.
Install
Cut a 190 × 100 × 60 mm opening and bed the box in cement or structural adhesive. The E21 then fixes to it with four M4×16 Torx screws.
Outdoors, a bead of waterproof adhesive around the faceplate stops water getting in behind it.

Fitting. Cut a 190 × 100 × 60 mm (H × W × D) hole at the cable position, knock out the cable entries you need and set the box in. Fill any gap between box and wall with cement or non-corrosive structural adhesive and let it set.
