Akuvox AK-S535INWALLKB is the black rain cover for an S535 face recognition door phone recessed into the wall. The hood frame clips onto the S535 flush-mounting bracket and screws into the in-wall box with it, sitting flat on the wall around the door phone to keep rain and overhead sun off the cameras and screen. Surface-mounted S535 units use the on-wall rain cover instead.

The AK-S535INWALLKB is Akuvox’s in-wall rain cover for the S535. It goes in with the S535 in-wall box and bracket, framing the flush-mounted door phone with a canopy over the cameras.

This SKU is the in-wall rain cover.

You receive the black rain cover and 10 pads. The S535 door phone and the S535 in-wall box (with its bracket, screws and anchors) are sold separately.

Clear faces, rain or shine.

Rain on the lens blurs faces and overhead sun washes out the picture. The canopy shades the S535’s two cameras and 5″ screen while the door phone stays recessed in the wall.

Design

A hood that frames the door phone.

A one-piece black frame with a curved canopy across the top. Four positioning tabs line it up with the S535 flush-mounting bracket, and the bracket presses into the bottom of the cover.

Bracket and cover screw into the in-wall box together with six M4×8 screws, so the cover sits flat against the wall face.

Made for the flush-mounted S535.

219.5 × 104 mm around the 210 × 100 mm S535, projecting 36.4 mm at the top and tapering to 13 mm at the bottom.

The wall opening doesn’t change: 203.5 × 94 × 34 mm, the same as for the S535 in-wall box on its own.

Do I still need the S535 in-wall box?

Yes. The cover clips onto the flush-mounting bracket and screws into the in-wall box (AK-S535INWALLK), which supplies the box, bracket, screws and anchors.

Does the wall opening change?

No. Cut the same 203.5 × 94 × 34 mm opening as for the in-wall box alone.

Can I use it on a surface-mounted S535?

No. This is the in-wall cover. An S535 on the on-wall box uses the S535 on-wall rain cover (AK-S535ONWALLKB).

Will it fit an S535 with a module?

It is sized for the S535 on its own: 219.5 mm tall for the 210 mm station. With a fingerprint, induction loop or LTE module fitted the S535 is 260 mm tall.

Is the door phone included?

No. This SKU is the rain cover and pads only.

This cover is for a recessed S535. For an S535 on the standard on-wall box, use the S535 on-wall rain cover (AK-S535ONWALLKB).

Installation & safety notice

Fitting. Cut a 203.5 × 94 × 34 mm opening and fix the S535 in-wall box with its four ST4×20 screws and anchors. Stick the pads on the box’s six standoffs, clip the flush bracket into the rain cover, then place the pair in the box with the bracket’s square opening facing down and secure them with six M4×8 screws.
