The AK-S535-LTE is the LTE expansion unit for Akuvox’s S535 door phone. It fits the expansion port under the screen and lets the station call residents and the SmartPlus cloud over the mobile network — Akuvox’s answer for renovating older intercom systems.

This SKU is the LTE module only.

You receive the S535 LTE expansion module with its fixing screws. It needs an Akuvox S535 door station; for a new install, the S535 LTE kit (AK-S535-LTE-KIT) includes both.

The module covers LTE-FDD B1/B2/B3/B4/B5/B7/B8/B12/B13/B18/B19/B20/B25/B26/B28, LTE-TDD B38–B41 and WCDMA B1/B2/B4/B5/B6/B8/B19.

That includes the 700 MHz B28 and 1800 MHz B3 bands used in Australia. Insert a data SIM and configure LTE in the S535 web portal.

Mounting

Plan for the extra 50 mm.

With the module fitted the S535 measures 260 × 100 × 27 mm instead of 210 × 100 × 27 mm. The standard S535 box is too short.

Use the S535 in-wall or on-wall box made for expansion modules. The assembly keeps the S535’s IP66 and IK08 ratings as published on the Akuvox datasheet.

Does this include the S535 door phone?

No, it is the module only. AK-S535-LTE-KIT includes the S535 and the LTE module together.

Is a SIM card included?

No. Supply a data SIM from the carrier of your choice and check coverage at the entrance first.

Can I fit more than one module?

No. The S535 has one expansion port, so choose fingerprint, induction loop or LTE.

Do I need a different mounting box?

Yes. The S535 with a module is 260 mm tall, so use the S535 box made for expansion modules.

Can it be fitted while the S535 is powered?

No. Akuvox requires the station to be powered off before connecting or disconnecting a module.

Installation. Power the S535 off before fitting or removing the module — hot-plugging is not supported. Remove the expansion port cover, plug in the module and secure it with the shoulder screws, then mount the assembly in the S535 box made for modules.
