Akuvox AK-S535ONWALLKB is the black rain cover for an S535 face recognition door phone mounted on the wall surface. A hood with its own back plate, it fits behind the standard S535 on-wall box and shelters the cameras and screen from rain and overhead sun. A recessed S535 uses the in-wall rain cover instead.

The AK-S535ONWALLKB is Akuvox’s on-wall rain cover for the S535. The S535 is weather-rated; the hood keeps driving rain off the glass and cuts the overhead glare that washes out faces on camera.

This SKU is the on-wall rain cover.

You receive the black S535 on-wall rain cover. The S535 door phone and the S535 on-wall mounting box are sold separately.

Clear faces, rain or shine.

Rain on the lens blurs faces and overhead sun washes out the picture. The hood covers the top and sides of the S535 so face recognition and video calls stay clear on an exposed wall.

Design

Hood and back plate in one.

A single black piece: a back plate with a centre cable cut-out and fixing holes, and a hood that wraps the top and sides with a narrow lip along its front edge.

The plate’s holes match the S535 on-wall box, so the box fixes to the wall through it and the S535 hangs on the box as normal.

Fit

Sized for the standard on-wall box.

219.5 × 103.4 mm around the 210 × 100 mm S535, projecting 51.4 mm at the top and 28 mm at the bottom.

On the standard 15 mm box the S535 face sits 42 mm off the wall, inside the hood. It is not designed for the S535 with a module or for the 34 mm thick box.

Do I still need the on-wall box?

Yes. The S535 hangs on the standard on-wall box (AK-S535ONWALLK), which fixes to the wall through the hood’s back plate.

Can I use it on a flush-mounted S535?

No. A recessed S535 uses the S535 in-wall rain cover (AK-S535INWALLKB).

Does it suit the thick on-wall box or an S535 with a module?

No. It is 219.5 mm tall for the 210 mm S535 on its own, and its 51.4 mm projection is sized for the standard 15 mm box rather than the 34 mm thick boxes.

What is the difference between AK-S535ONWALLKB and AK-S535ONWALLH?

None — both order codes are the same black Akuvox S535 on-wall rain cover.

Does it change the mounting height?

No. Akuvox’s drawings keep the camera centre 1,500 mm above the ground with or without the cover.

Is the door phone included?

No. This SKU is the rain cover only.

Fit it wherever a surface-mounted S535 has no awning or porch roof. Recessed S535 units use the in-wall rain cover (AK-S535INWALLKB).

Installation & safety notice

Fitting. The cover’s back plate goes against the wall with the S535 on-wall box over it; the plate’s centre cut-out lines up with the box’s cable opening and its holes with the box’s fixing holes. Fix the box as usual (arrow up, 6 mm holes 25 mm deep), then hang the S535 and fasten its Torx screw — see the Akuvox S535 quick guide.
