Uniview IPC3616LE-ADF28KM-BK black 6MP turret camera
Uniview · 6MP · Black turret · 30 m IR

Six megapixels, in black.
A turret that blends into dark eaves.

This is the Uniview IPC3616LE-ADF28KM-BK. A 6MP turret camera in a black metal body, for dark eaves, trims and shopfronts where a white camera stands out. The 2.8 mm lens takes in a whole driveway or room and infrared reaches 30 m in the dark.

In one sentence: the IPC3616LE-ADF28KM-BK is a black 6MP (3072 × 2048) turret with a 2.8 mm F1.6 lens, 30 m smart IR, people detection, a built-in mic and IP67, powered by PoE.

One camera, one Cat6 cable.

Video and power share a single Cat6 run from a PoE recorder or switch. Mounts and a memory card are optional.

In the box
  • IPC3616LE-ADF28KM-BK camera
  • Fixing screws and drill template
  • Quick guide
You also need
  • A PoE NVR or switch (802.3af), or a 12 V DC supply
  • Cat6 cable to the camera
  • A microSD card up to 256GB, to record on the camera
  • TR-JB03-G-IN-BK junction box or TR-WM03-D-IN-BK wall mount, if needed

Detail without drawing the eye.

At 3072 × 2048 there is enough detail to zoom into a recording and pick out a face or a number plate close to the camera. The black housing suits dark-coloured houses and commercial fronts, and the turret design has no glass dome to catch reflections from the IR at night.

Size

Ø110.5 × 94.1 mm, 0.42 kg.

The Uniview drawing shows the camera from the front and side, and the base with its fixing holes. Mark the holes with the drill template in the box.

How it goes in

From the box to recording.

01

Pick the spot

High enough to be out of easy reach, close enough to see faces, with a route for one Cat6 cable. Under an eave keeps sun and rain off the lens.

02

Fix the base

Screw the base to the ceiling, eave or wall, or onto a TR-JB03-G-IN-BK junction box so the cable joint is enclosed.

03

Plug it in

Run Cat6 to a PoE port on the NVR or a PoE switch. The camera powers up from the cable.

04

Aim and add

Turn the eyeball to frame the view, then add it to the NVR or the Uniview app.

Pair it with

What goes with it

Recorder

Uniview PoE NVR

Powers the camera over one Cat6 cable, adds it automatically and records the smart events.

Mounting

TR-JB03-G-IN-BK junction box

Encloses the cable joint behind the camera in black on brick, render or a soffit with no cavity.

Walls

TR-WM03-D-IN-BK wall mount

Holds the camera out from the wall in black so it can look along the building.

Cabling

Cat6 cable

Solid copper Cat6 for PoE runs of up to 100 m from the switch or NVR.

Where it is used

Where the black 6MP turret fits

Dark eaves and trims

Blends in where a white camera would stand out.

Driveways

Wide view of cars and visitors, IR to 30 m.

Shopfronts

A low-key camera over doors and windows.

Side paths

Person-only alerts for gates and walkways.

Common questions

What resolution and frame rate does it record?

6MP (3072 × 2048) at up to 25 fps, which is smooth enough for walking people and cars.

What sets off an alert?

You can draw a line or a zone and have it alert only when a person crosses or enters it, which cuts out most alerts from trees, cars passing and pets. Plain motion, tampering and loud-sound detection are there too.

Does it record sound?

Yes. It has a built-in microphone, so recordings include audio. Check the privacy rules in your state before recording conversations.

Is there a white version?

This listing is the black model. Call us if you need the same camera in white and we will check what is available.

How far does it see at night?

Up to 30 m in black and white with infrared. Smart IR turns the IR down on close objects so faces are not washed out white. In dim light before the IR is needed it stays in colour down to 0.003 lux.

How wide does it see?

It has a wide-angle 2.8 mm fixed lens. Uniview rates it to identify a person at 6.3 m and recognise someone known at 12.6 m, with detection out to 63 m.

Which mount do I need?

It screws straight to a ceiling or eave. Add the TR-JB03-G-IN-BK junction box where there is no cavity behind to hide the cable joint, or use the TR-WM03-D-IN-BK wall mount to hold it out from a wall. The TR-JB07/WM03-G-IN-V2-BK combines a wall mount with a junction box.

Can it go outside?

Yes. It is rated IP67 against dust and water, and works from −30 °C to 60 °C. Mount it under an eave where you can, to keep rain and direct sun off the lens.

Will it work with my recorder?

Uniview NVRs find it on their PoE ports and add it automatically, with the smart events. Other recorders that support ONVIF (Profile S, G or T) can add it too, although the smart events may only come through on a Uniview NVR.

Can I watch it on my phone?

Yes. Watch it through a Uniview NVR in the Uniview mobile app, or add the camera to the app on its own. Live view in a web browser works without a plug-in in current Chrome, Firefox and Edge.

How is it powered?

By PoE (IEEE 802.3af) over the same Cat6 cable as the video, from a PoE NVR or switch. Without PoE it runs on a 12 V DC supply. It draws 4.5 W at most.

What is the warranty?

Uniview 3-year manufacturer warranty, handled in Australia through InFront. Contact us first and we will organise any claim.

Supported by Infront Technologies.

Installation and safety

Power. Use an 802.3af PoE port or a regulated 12 V DC supply. The camera draws 4.5 W at most.

Weather. Rated IP67. Seal the cable joint, ideally inside a junction box, and point cable entries downwards.
