Power for a 16-camera recorder.
48V. 3.75A. Round 4-pin.
This is the JC-PSU-48V-3.75, a 180W replacement supply for Jaycar Concord 16-channel NVRs. It is not the smaller 1.5A supply used on 8-channel recorders.
In one sentence: the JC-PSU-48V-3.75 is a 48V DC, 3.75A, 180W desktop power supply with a round 4-pin plug and an Australian IEC mains lead, made to replace the adaptor on Jaycar Concord 16-channel NVRs.
Check your label before you order.
Your old adaptor should read 48V 3.75A and have a round 4-pin plug. If it reads 48V 1.5A, you need the 8-channel supply.
- 48V 3.75A power supply with 4-pin DC lead
- Australian IEC mains lead
- Nothing else for a straight swap
- A mains power point near the recorder
When a 16-channel recorder will not stay on.
A 16-channel NVR feeds its PoE cameras from this one adaptor. When the supply tires, the recorder restarts or the cameras drop out. A full 3.75A, 180W replacement brings the power budget back.

Mains end
IEC inlet on one end, 4-pin lead on the other.
The Australian IEC mains lead plugs into this end. The 4-pin DC lead runs to the back of the recorder.

The plug
Round 4-pin, keyed.
Two pins carry +48V and one is ground. The plug is keyed, so it only fits one way. Line it up and do not force it.

Both have the same round 4-pin plug, so check the amps on your old label. A 16-channel recorder needs the 3.75A supply.
Common questions
Will this fit my Jaycar 16-channel NVR?
Yes, if the old adaptor or the label under the recorder reads 48V 3.75A and the plug is round with 4 pins. Match the volts, the amps and the plug before you order.
Can I use the 48V 1.5A supply on a 16-channel recorder instead?
No. A 16-channel recorder powers up to 16 PoE cameras from this supply, so the 1.5A adaptor is under-rated and causes reboots and cameras dropping out.
I have an 8-channel Jaycar NVR. Which supply do I need?
The 48V 1.5A 4-pin supply. This 3.75A model is for 16-channel recorders.
Will any 48V supply do?
No. Match all three: 48V, at least 3.75A, and the round 4-pin plug. A supply with a different plug or a lower current rating will not run a 16-channel recorder properly.
What is in the box?
The 48V 3.75A power supply with its 4-pin DC lead, and an Australian IEC mains lead.
What input voltage does it take?
100 to 240V AC at 50 or 60Hz, so it runs on Australian mains and most overseas mains with the right IEC lead.
What are the signs the old supply has failed?
No lights on the recorder, a recorder stuck at the start-up screen, random restarts, or cameras dropping off when the system is busy.
Where do I find my recorder rating?
On the label under the recorder and on the old adaptor. The adaptor label shows the volts, the amps and the plug.
Does this supply power the cameras?
Yes, through the recorder. The NVR passes power from this 180W supply to its PoE camera ports.
How do I fit it?
Shut down the recorder, unplug the mains, swap the 4-pin plug, connect the IEC mains lead and power up. It takes a few minutes and needs no tools.
What warranty does it have?
12 months, supported by Infront Technologies in Australia.
Who sells this supply in Australia?
Infront Technologies stocks it and ships Australia-wide. Send us a photo of your adaptor label if you want us to check it before you buy.

Installation and safety
Mains plug-in supply. Plugging it into an existing power point is normal use. A new power point or any switchboard work needs a licensed electrician.
Do not open it. The label warns of hazardous voltage inside. Keep it ventilated and dry, and replace it if the case or leads are damaged.
What it does not do. It is not a UPS, so it does not keep the recorder running in a blackout. Figures are taken from the CS-4803750 label.
