Algo 8301

SIP paging adapter and bell scheduler for analog PA

The 8301 is a SIP endpoint that emulates a legacy page port. Connect its isolated, balanced line output to a traditional amplifier and register it on a hosted or on-premises VoIP system for voice paging, loud ringing and emergency tones — without an FXS port or ATA.

ADD-ON — AMPLIFIER AND POE REQUIRED

The 8301 is a paging adapter, not a speaker. It needs a PoE switch (IEEE 802.3af) and a traditional analog amplifier with 600 Ohm–10 kOhm line input. Algo recommends one 8301 per amplifier.

Send or receive RTP multicast for up to 50 zones. One registered 8301 can drive other Algo IP speakers, strobes and paging adapters — receivers do not need their own SIP registration.

NTP-synced scheduler

Play bells, tones and recorded announcements on a calendar without a PC. Audio goes out on the analog line and/or multicast. A separate scheduler login keeps day-to-day changes off the admin GUI.

How it works

1Connect the 8301 to an IEEE 802.3af PoE switch. Blue front LEDs stay on until boot finishes (about 60 seconds).
2Wire the isolated line output to the amplifier (mini-XLR or terminal block) and, if needed, the relay output to the amp’s page-enable input.
3Register page, ring and emergency-alert extensions in the web GUI, or leave SIP blank and use multicast / scheduler only.
4Upload WAV/MP3 files (1 GB storage), set NTP, and schedule bells or announcements. A page or alert interrupts music on the 3.5 mm aux input.

Compatible hardware

Pairs with analog amplifiers and with SIP speakers on the same multicast. The IVSEC IV-IPAUDIO café, grocery, school and warehouse kits use this adapter as the paging controller alongside IVNS horn, wall and ceiling speakers.

FAQ

Does the 8301 include a speaker?

No. It is a paging adapter. Speakers sit on the analog amplifier, or you multicast to SIP speakers such as the IVSEC IVNS range.

Can one 8301 drive several amplifiers?

Algo recommends one adapter per amplifier. Use multicast so each 8301 (or SIP speaker) receives the same page.

Is InformaCast included?

This listing is the standard 8301. The 8301-IC InformaCast variant is a separate SKU and needs an InformaCast licence.

Australian stock of the Algo 8301 is held by Infront Technologies for trade and project work — pair it with IVSEC SIP speakers or an existing analog PA.

Installation & safety notice

The 8301 is a PoE indoor network appliance. Install it in a dry location (0–40 °C). CAT5/CAT6 to the PoE switch must stay inside the building unless surge protection is fitted. Amplifier and 70/100 V speaker wiring should be completed by a qualified installer. This product does not replace a building fire-alarm or emergency-warning system unless the project specification says otherwise.

Always confirm SIP compatibility, multicast addressing and amplifier input level on site before go-live.
