Installation & safety notice
Low-voltage product (SELV). The AK-HDR-60-SPEC provides SELV 48/24 V DC for the 2-wire IP intercom plant. The intercom equipment side remains low-voltage SELV; however the PSU mains input is not a DIY connection — mains termination must comply with electrical regulations and is typically performed by a licensed electrician. There is no 240 V distribution inside Akuvox NS-2 / endpoint devices themselves.
When a licensed tradesperson is required. Concealed structured data / intercom cabling is customer cabling under AS/CA S009 and must be performed by an ACMA-registered cabler. Any electric lock, maglock or dedicated lock PSU is a separate electrical/security install and may require a licensed electrician or security installer.
