The AK-S538INWALLH is Akuvox’s rain cover for an S538 set into the wall with the in-wall kit. It has no back plate — it is a frame that surrounds the recessed door phone.

This SKU is the rain cover only.

You receive the black S538 in-wall rain cover. The S538 door phone and the S538 in-wall installation kit are sold separately.

A flush finish that still sheds rain.

Recessing the S538 gives a clean façade but leaves the 8″ glass facing the weather. The frame adds a lip over the top and sides without hiding the screen.

It measures 306.7 × 141.4 mm and projects 34.7 mm at the top, tapering to 14.1 mm at the bottom.

Designed for the 297 × 136.4 mm S538 when it is flush-mounted with the S538 in-wall installation kit.

It is not for surface installs — an S538 on the wall surface uses the on-wall rain cover with its own back plate.

How is it different from the on-wall rain cover?

The in-wall cover is an open frame for a recessed S538. The on-wall cover has a back plate and a deeper hood for an S538 on the wall surface.

Do I need the in-wall kit?

Yes. The S538 is recessed with the S538 in-wall installation kit and the cover frames it at the wall face.

How far does it stick out?

34.7 mm at the top, tapering to 14.1 mm at the bottom.

Will it fit an S539 or S535?

No. It is sized to the 297 × 136.4 mm S538. The S539 has its own in-wall rain hood.

Does it cover the screen?

No. It is an open frame — the screen, cameras and card reader stay fully visible and usable.

Is the door phone included?

No. This SKU is the rain cover only.
