The AK-S563W-WHITE is Akuvox’s S563W indoor monitor in white. It answers SIP video calls from Akuvox door stations on a bright 8-inch 1280 × 800 screen, runs Android 12 so residents can add smart-home apps, and adds a voice assistant and voice changer you won’t find on the 7-inch S562. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 4.2 are built in.

This SKU is the indoor monitor only.

You receive the white S563W with its standard mounting hardware. Door stations, the desk stand, surface-mount box, PoE switch and power supply are sold separately.

An 8-inch 16:10 IPS touch screen at 1280 × 800, 310 cd/m² and 1200:1 contrast, viewable 80° in every direction. Visitors are sharp enough to recognise at a glance.

The front-facing 4 Ω / 2 W speaker and echo cancellation keep two-way calls clear, with G.722 wideband audio and H.264 video.

Android 12

One screen for the door and the home.

Android 12 with 2 GB RAM and 8 GB storage lets you install third-party apps, so the monitor can double as a smart-home panel for lighting, security and more.

The built-in voice assistant works offline, picks up commands from up to 5 m with up to 95% recognition accuracy, keeps voice data on the device and understands English.

The S563W adds Wi-Fi 6 (IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax) with WPA3 encryption for a stable link on busy home networks, plus Bluetooth 4.2.

Run it on Wi-Fi with a 12 V DC supply, or use 802.3af PoE over the RJ45 like the standard S563. The voice changer and voice assistant are on every S563.

How is the S563 different from the S562?

S563 has a larger 8-inch 1280 × 800 screen, Android 12 instead of Linux, a voice assistant and a voice changer. S562 is the 7-inch, 1024 × 600 Linux model.

What’s the difference between S563 and S563W?

Same monitor; S563W adds Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 4.2. Both take 802.3af PoE or a 12 V DC supply.

Does it need a power supply?

Not if your switch provides 802.3af PoE. Otherwise use a 12 V DC supply, which you’ll also need when running on Wi-Fi.

Can it sit on a desk?

Yes, with the S563 desk stand (sold separately). The S563 surface-mount angle box suits walls without an electrical box.

Which door stations work with it?

Akuvox SIP door stations such as R20K, R25K, E12S and R28A, plus other SIP door phones using standard SIP and H.264.

Installation & safety notice

Low-voltage product (SELV). Power from IEEE 802.3af PoE, or a 12 V DC supply where PoE isn’t available, as stated on the Akuvox S563W datasheet.

When a licensed tradesperson is required. Concealed data and intercom cabling is customer cabling under AS/CA S009 and must be installed by an ACMA-registered cabler. Electric locks, maglocks and lock power supplies may require a licensed electrician or security installer.
